Default Hi, please help, want more performance

Hello, Im new to this and I bet Im the youngest crossfire owner on here at 17 lol. So I have an 04 stick crossfire, I recently replaced the exhaust with a cutom magnaflow. Yesturday I bought a Tri-phase module from ebay, (hopefully it will turn out to be a good idea) Im going on a bit of a mod rampage so I looked at other things I can do. I came across a guy with the tricked out red crossfire, that I bet everyone is aware of. He suggested a pulley kit from Evosport. The link did not work, so I reserched it and did not find anything exactly for the crossfire but for mercedes or bmw, can anyone tell me which one to get? or a link?
I have a $500 buget right now so if you have any other suggestions please help.

maybe a sprint booster???? just a thought...

also does anyone else think the cupholder placement is horible. Everytime I change gears I open that stupid thing, Im seriously considering gluing it shut.

First off WELCOME to the forum! Believe that we have a 16 year old member somewhere so I guess that makes you just another old guy around here!
Wish you had asked about that "Tri-phase module" before you bought it. Which one did you get?
As far as mods, the first thing I would do is get a cold air intake (CAI). Needswings CAI is very popular but if you do a search on the forum some of the folks here have gone the DIY route with good success.
And last the cup holder. Some love it, most don't. There's a storage bin that you can buy to replace the cup holder. Do a search for that also.

Take a look around. Sure that you will find what you need and more on this forum. WELCOME!

Welcome, before you buy the Sprint Booster, read the following thread. If you still want it, go ahead. It is a well written and researched article, sometimes I think if you spend a lot of $$ you make sure you find something positive about the product. With $500, I think you could do better and get something more worthwhile. Look after that car and yourself.

Welcome to the forum, there are a few companies that are making performance mods for the Crossfire, but be aware this is not a "tuner" car. You can get some more performance/HP but at a cost, do a search for TVT, LET, Sprint Booster and Speed Innovations....there are many threads on the subject.

Ya, sorry to say those do nothing. See if you can return it...

If you have $500... do the CAI and you should have some money left over to save up for injectors and a tune.

Read the Sprint Booster-Technical.pdf, not the instructions. You have read all of the articles, not just skim them. Basically this article says it is a waste of money, but others say it is good, you decide.

If I had $500.00 and wanted to spend it on something to improve the performance of my Crossfire, it would be the NeedsWings CAI. It is a proven "fact" that it cuts a 1/2 second off the 1/4 mile times of a NA Crossfire.
I can't think of any other performance mod that does so much for so little money.

I did the TVT265 and the sprint booster. These things really woke the car up for under $2k.

Welcome and good luck.

I was 15 when I got my crossfire (few months shy of 16..) and there was another member who was 15 and got his SRT-6..

All bragging aside for $500 you really have two options.. get the Needswing Cold Air Intake (CAI) or save up for either the TvT 250 or TvT 265 kit... (those are closer to the $1k-1.2k mark)

Otherwise, just buy yourself a nice radio or something

Since someone suggested a pulley kit, I'm assuming you own an SRT6. If that is indeed the case, you might want to check out code3 performance. They have a pulley that goes on the supercharger rather than the crank and an intake that bolts on right behind the throttle body (not cold air). I did both of these and WOW!

It's not going to give you the most boost of the pulley systems and the intake is a little light on the air cleaning aspect plus it draws in the hot air of the engine compartment. The plus side is that you can almost do it on your budget and you can slap both things on in one hour or less. The intake lets your blower scream like a bancheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee eeee. Look around the forum and you might find someone selling one or both parts. Start a thread and ask if anyone wants to sell theirs. Someone might want to move up to a 185mm pulley for more bang. You could do that too but it's more bucks and more parts (Gotta change all the pulleys with a 185 but you don't with a Code3)

Wait a minute did you say '04' if it's an '04' it can't be an SRT6 therefore it doesn't have a supercharger therefore forget every thing I just said. Go Needswings!

The sprint booster will not add any horsepower whatsoever. It does however decrease the lag between your right foot and the motor. That lag was driving me nuts before installing the part. IMHO it's worth the $$$.

Cool, ha
Well the Sprint Booster just opens up the throttle full at 30% instead of 80% something like that. The percent is how much your pushing on the gas peddal. You shouldent take the car to the factory with aftermarket stuff, they might start blaming them for anything that happens in the future if their ********.

Well I have taken out the plastic intake tubes and all the plastic crap where the radiator corners are ( the intake entrances) I got some pre cut tubbing and sized it up. Because its now forced induction I feel a bit of a power gain. I also got Iridium Plugs.....and now im getting it lowered tomorrow with Eibachs. Then when I decide not to drive my car for 4 days, Ill send my ecu to Upsolute. I feel that I have now learned how to ignore the fake ads from ebay.
