Default Prototype CAI

I think I've developed something pretty good, it neither uses the filter infront of the radiator nor having it inside the engine. I'll test it abit today and see how it performs.

The idea came about from my fiance'. She has a 2007 2ltr Turbo VW Passat, I beat her car easily by 1 to 2 car lengths everytime, any who I had some spare pipes and pod filter laying around and I thought I'd install it on her car (more or less for the sound it makes) I never believed a CAI would produce much power.

Last night we found ourselves at a set of lights and she absoutly smoked me I'm talking kept pulling away the further we kept going + her car has all our new stuff for our house maybe 150 + kg's.

I adapted the idea of how I did her CAI and did it to my XF now I'll see if it has as much of an impact on my car as it did on hers.

And yes it is embaressing being beaten by the fiance'

An intake on her car will have much more effect since her car is turbo. Do not expect the same results on our NAs. She must of had some seriously bad intake efficiency. Seems like she gained 50 WHP lol

Her stock intake system was really bad I dont understand how the poor car could breath. I finished putting in my CAI, I'll post some pics tonight, I dont think I'll leave it where it is, the front of the radiator might be the best place I think.

But yeah I dont know how I went from easily beating her to loosing by 2 or 3 car lenghts, Still scratching my head

Oh yea, forced induction cars really wake up when they breathe a lot better, much more than n/a cars would. I had a turbo VW also which responded very well to mods. Curious to see if she still spanks you!
