The Black Roof was done in Burbank, Ca at Burbank AutoWerks, it is a Vinyl application as opposed to paint.

That's pretty cool! How do you take care of the vinyl?

Looks GREAT!! I've wanted to see an Alabaster with a black roof... Now if the windshield surround was black. Hmmm.

Taking care of the vinyl top, I use this product called "Vinelx" it protects and gives it the right shimmering shine to match the rear glass hatch.

That looks incredible! Great job.

Seeing the SRT spoiler on the Alabaster makes me wish the SRT actually was offered in that color... VERY clean

Very nice. I was gonna hassle you about putting some nice 5% tint on the windows until I saw that you live in California.

That's hot.

Has anyone seen a Crossfire with an off-center stripe?

Something like these bogies in Mr. & Mrs. Smith:

I wonder if it would look good on such a narrow body.

NOOOOOO, it doesn't look good on ANY car. I've seen at least 8 different ricers in town with that crap and it always looks lopsided and stupid. It makes me wonder when they're gonna save up enough money to buy the other half of the racing stripes. LOL

just my thoughts...................I'm a sucker for symmetry

BMW forums were all torn up with that image, too.

Most people hated it, but a few liked it.

The last thing I want to do is rice-out my car. But I feel that as long as I keep the exterior mods to a minimum, it will keep most of the spirit of the criss cross body.

I *may* do a stripe, so long as it doesn't look rice. I'm certainly considering SRT SIX's verticals:
https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum...ad.php?t=30438

My to-do list:
1) New audio receiver
2) TVT 265
3) Verticals
4) Stripe (maybe)
5) Sell it and buy an SRT.

I wish I could start at 5, but I won't be able to afford doing this for two years.

I'm 22, working a, basically, entry level job, and paid $18k for a '05 base coupe in July... with $1,500 down.

Long story short, after car payment ($350), insurance ($170), the rest of my bills [housing (500), food ($400) and gas ($90)], I'm living right at my means. :-X

I'm lucky just to have the limited

About the insurance: I have no speeding tickets on my record and no accidents. I'm just not old.

Don't worry about the insurance payments. One day, (all too soon), you'll find that they go down considerably.

Helm, that makes your car very unique. Normally I'm not a big fan of black wheels, but on your car (with the black roof) it all comes together. Congrats.
