Warranty Wow!
We have all heard those words "Thats not covered under your warranty.". I have personally heard this at least ten times making me hate the dealership more and more. Here is the latest...I went to the dealership where I purchased my coupe to have them replace my hood strut that leaked all over my engine and lost pressure..."not covered", but wait I have the extended warranty, "not covered". Ok, what about my seat that is cracking? "not covered." but it says right here in my extended warranty that leather cracking is covered..."i will have to ask my manager." **** THIS...I drive across town hoping and praying another dealership will help. Guess what these guys say! "Yep, all of those things are covered." Holy ****, how is it not covered at one place but covered at another? "Ha ha ha...shady" he says...they even pulled door dings out because i have a dent warranty i had no clue about. here are the things that have been warranty replaced by shopping around:
Headlights (fogging/crazing)
Drivers seat (leather cracking)
Hood strut (leaking/no pressure)
Steering damper (leaking) OH YES THEY WARRANTIED THIS
Moral of the story: If one guy tells you no....go see someone else.

Post the name of the "good" dealer so other forum members can take advantage of the service.
What'd they do with the cracked leather, replace the panel?

Dealers are so hit and miss. Sounds like the first dealer either was not aware of what your extended warranty covered, or just didn't feel it was worth their garage time to do the work for warranty rates.
Now that you found a good dealer, stick with them!
I had a dealer actually damage parts on my a number of years back to run up the bill. I am fairly savy under the hood and only went to the dealer to save time and effort, but I had a good idea what was wrong. So when they called and told me something else, I could call them on it. To cover their attempt to pocket money for unneeded repairs, they damaged the parts they said needed repairs. Needless to say, that was the end of my business there!
