If you did it quickly, probably not a problem.

BUT>>>>>>>>>> WHY?

why would you want to?

That said, I have to admit, I've thought about doing it myself.

I used to have a six-speed. It will cut out the cruise control when you hit the clutch to shift. If you do not hit the breaks, the cruise control will kick back in with a second or two automatically.

well you know your driving on the road and set ur cruise on the highway in 5th gear and the speed limit changes here from like 55-70 on I74 so i go from like 60 cause theres mass cops to like 80 cause theres like none and just always thought do i really need to take cruise control off to go to 6th.

No just change gear up, not down, I have done it on a few odd occasions, no problems that I could see. Changing down might be a bit different, never done that.

With the high torque of this engine, there is little need to shift when going from 60 to 80. Just move the wand up or down.
Why would you need to shift?

You can shift up or down with the cruise control set......I do it all the time. There is a couple of seconds delay and it is really cool the way that it works. I'm not talking about dropping a couple of gears now....but if you need a little extra, go for it.

Another interesting thing is that it holds the set speed in memory. Most lose the speed setting if you turn it off.....not the Crossfire. Flip it off if you need to and go right back to the set speed with a quick pull of the lever.

I shift up and down while using the cruise control all the time. According to the manual, the cruise will only disingage while braking, or holding the clutch in for longer than 4 seconds, or by pushing the control stick forward.
