Default I inquired about a car and this is the response...

I emailed a guy about his SRT for sale and this is the response I got. What do you think?:

Hi,
All I can say is that some recent events in my life made me change
my perception of certain things, things I've never considered
important in the past. My wife is very sick and I want to tell you
that I am not selling this car for profit. I sell the car to help my
wife and to help other people who are sick, I will donate a part of
money for medical research. I'll be back home at the end of March but
we can close the transaction safe for both of us through eBay. I can't
meet you to show you the car, but I can send you more pictures and
details. I hope that is fine for you. I can ship the car on my expense
to your location. If you want to buy the car, send me your full name
and delivery address and eBay company will contact you with all the
details regarding this transaction ( the invoice and payment details
). If you agree with my price and my terms I am ready to reserve the
car for you.
The car has clear title. The condition of this car is incredible.
The paint is in perfect shape. There are no dings, scratches, damage
on the body or rust. This vehicle has been very well maintained and
kept both smoke and accident free.
I am waiting for your email.
Thank you,

What ever money you might send him would only be money down the drain.

Don't do it! If it sounds too good to be true it probably is, and an elaborate lie is a lie all the same! Also, never, ever, ever buy a car without seeing it first. One man's idea of prisitine is another's idea of a dog.

it's bs:

The classic scam:

1. Use a sob story or appeal to someone's greed
2. Steal your money.

Let me guess - the price is so low you can't refuse??

If it was your wife that was sick would the thought of donating money to medical research cross your mind before she is well? No way !! This HAS to be BS.

SCAM!! I found a Harley on CL this weekend, way cheap. Guy sends me back an e-mail that he is going thru a divorce, and needs the cash. Bike is in Canada, wants to go thru ebay to protect us both. I e-mail himback, said I had friends that would be in Canada this week and could stop by and inspect the bike and if all is OK, they would. Never head back from him.

A quick search turned up the same patter in yet another scam, see for yourself!

The thieves are everywhere and Ebay seems to be a clearinghouse for a lot of their crap. I replied to a "too good to be true " ad on an RV website for a motorhome/garage coach the other day. Check out the reply I got. Looks like they use Ebay as well. Probably your account!! The idea people fall for this **** is crazy!
