I live in Florida and all my cars have tinted windows, not only for the heat, but to save the interior!!!! They installed LLumat Window Tint on the Crossfire. Check the warrantee, some are for 5 years and some are for the life of the car as long as the original owner has it.

Living if Florida we need it, go for it, makes the car look even sharper!!!!

I paid $149.00 to have mine tinited, make sure you pick a qualified person do the job. My 300M was tinted over 4 years a go and looks as good as when it was installed. :P

The only thing that worries me about getting the car tinted, is that I believe you have to take the door panels off. Anybody besides the dealer taking my door panels off kind of worries me. I would make sure to take pictures of everything before you bring it in, and check and make sure there is absolutely no damage or scratches to the car. I had a shop put in a new headunit for me once, and about a week later I found a hole in the leather on the passenger side seat. You couldn't see it unless you opened the door. By then it was too late...

I've had other cars done--and they never took of the door panels. Has anyone had this happen? If so, NO way they are touching the Xfire.

I guess I'm wrong then. I swear I've heard of shops taking the door panels off. I don't have a lot of experience with window tinting since any non-factory tint is illegal in NJ.

Having tint installed next week. There are plenty of styles and colors. I haven't picked a color yet. You must tint if your car is exposed to the sun, in Florida the leather will be destroyed without it.

I've never heard that door panels have to come off. I've had tinting done on 5 cars. Find out who's the best installer in your area and get it done right away.

I had my windows tinted in 30 cars including the Crossfire and never took off door panels.
I went darker than legal but what the heck!

OK, OK I'm wrong! I swear I've seen someone getting a tint with the door panels off, but I guess they were having something else done to the car as well. I'm not crazy.

I couldn't drive without tinted windows. Florida sun is a kller. I've had many cars tinted. One was a 92 Tracer Station wagon which I had from 10 years. No problems. But you do have to be careful when you clean the inside of the windows - no cleaners with amonia, which can fog the tint film over time. Also make sure you know the shop that does the tinting has a good record. I've used the same shop for over then years and never had a problem. I know some other folks who got lousy jobs, bubbles and the tint coming off. Also you cant open the windows for severals days - lets the glue cure completely. Haven't done the Crossfire yet. Might trade it for an autostick and the next owner might not want the tint.
