Question Need an expert opinion

Considering putting HIDs lights on my Crossfire. I'm a 32 yr old professional looking for a classy look on a sports car. The 6000k or 8000k have been suggested? Any opinions, suggestions or recommendations?

You've asked for an expert opinion - an opinion is never wrong as it's a personal thing.
There is a really good article on this forum somewhere about changing/installing HID's, and there is a color range chart in the write-up. If memory serves me correct most people think that 5000K is a better looking 'white' light. 8000K may be close to the purple range - so depending on what sort of 'professional' you are, purple may be the way to go - especially if you have 24" spinners and you've raised your ride...
My suggestion - search for the article - or PM me and I'll send it to you (it's at home), then make your decision.

Daniel Stern Lighting Consultancy and Supply

Remember:

we DO have projector lamps and they work perfectly well with HID systems.

4300K or 5000K for folks over 30.

JMHO!

Everything I've read says the higher numbers (7k, 8k) are bright blue or purple and may look "cool", but are poor for night driving.

I am a professional as well (a little under 30) and know exactly what you are looking for. I am running 10K bulbs that have almost the exact look of the high end OEM lexus, audi, and infiniti systems. They look the part because our cars were supposed to come with them but someone forgot to tell chrysler/mercedes when you make a car over $30K HIDs should be there. Some think that anything over 5K is ridiculous, this is simply because they have never used them. I have heard people say they are purple or violet, this could not be more incorrect, that is not until you hit the 12-15K spectrum, an 8 or 10K will give you the look you will like, a 5K is going to be more white, less blue. Just trying to offer every aspect of opinion....
