Anyone use a Blaupunkt?
Anyone use a Blaupunkt?
I am using the front aux jack and everytime the radio turns on/off with the car I have to keep turning the front aux jack back on with the "source" button. It keeps defaulting back to the FM radio. Is this normal? I have a London MP48.
I love the radio but this is driving me crazy. I used the ipod adaptor out the back of the radio (charges and reads the ipod) but I was getting a lot of hiss. That is why I am using the front Aux.

Re: Anyone use a Blaupunkt?
I have the mp48 London Blaupunkt too. If you use the front aux input, it will always reset to the radio when you turn it back on. It's a design flaw that many others have talked about. When you get back in the car and turn it on, just hit the SBC button three times, and you're good to go.
Re: Anyone use a Blaupunkt?
I have an ipod and tried using the Ipod cable. It worked great and the rear Aux always stayed if you left it on. The only problem was the hiss! They make a noise reducer which works great with the front jack of the radio but it won't plug in through the bottom of the ipod.
Re: Anyone use a Blaupunkt?
We talked about this in the past. Do you run your sat radio through the front jack?
No, I'm using an FM modulator coming in the rear of the radio via the antenna jack for the Sirius Sat.
Workd fine. I use the fromt jack for my IPod touch. Works fine too.
Re: bad radio reception, I'll bet one of the antanna adapters is loose. My FM is very good. Better than OEM

Re: Anyone use a Blaupunkt?
I think alot of the bad radio reception problems result from the antenna being in the back glass. A real upright antenna most likely would work better. Has anyone ever tried it? Just unplug your antenna input from the rear of the stereo, and route a new one to another part of the car - maybe a small upright antenna just to the back and center of the windsheild. Sounds like a lot of work, but a temporary one might give us some answers.
Re: Anyone use a Blaupunkt?
Not trying to be mean to any of you.... but I have to say it. I could care less about the radio reception. I don't listen to it because it is all commercials and no music. 99% of the time I have an ipod or CD on.
If I had Sat radio that would be a different story

Re: Anyone use a Blaupunkt?
When I use the Blaupunkt Aux cable that plays and charges the ipod, I get a hiss noise. When I use the front jack everything sounds great until I plug the ipod in to charge it. Is there a way I can eliminate the hiss? I have no idea what causes it but it seems to appear when I am charging and playing the ipod at the same time. If I use a noise reducer device it takes the hiss out.
