Default Taking a Road Trip in the Crossfire!

I'll be leaving Michigan heading for Denver in a week. 1800 miles and I'm stoked! Relatively new F1 All-seasons, fresh oil change, and I'm ready to go. I'm taking a few days to see some sights. We'll see how comfortable this car is after 7 hours behind the wheel. The longest I've driven it is 3 hours at a stretch, but I'm confident it will do well.

I'm sure you'll have no problem. There's a lot of good things to see along the way. I highly recommend the Lincoln Museum in Springfield Illinois. The hologram show is outstanding!

I've been from Detroit to Phoenix straight-thru, and I'm 6'4", a little uncomfortable but not too bad.

I am taking another 3000 mile trip in the SSB with my grandson the last week of July. Across Idaho, Glacier National park, across Montana, visit his great grand parents in Laramie, friends in Colorado and then back home. I dont have any problems with being comfortable in the car, even going through a full tank of gas.

Drive safe and have a FUN trip....

It's the time of the year to get out in the Crossfire! My wife and I are headed up to the north shore of Lake Superior on the 12th. Going all the way up to Rossport Canada! Can't forget our passports...

If you are planning to take I-90 thru SD, be sure and stop to see Mt Rushmore. There are several nice roads in the hills around Custer, Hill City, and Custer State Park you will want to drive, one, the Needles Highway is great, but with one car tunnels...be careful!

If you have a problem, the local Chrysler dealer has a Crossfire tech, although I have not used him since I owned my car in Texas; however, I have purchased numerous cars from them over the last 19 years, to include my wife's 09 Passat wagon, and my 09 VW CC. Service has always been great.

Enjoy the drive!

20 hr drive from Baltimore to Missouri. It was fun hitting the 70 mph speed limit and its only 65 around here. I felt safe doing 80. legs and back got a little stiff after a few hours

1300 miles from Mpls to Houston. Sore elbows. Would like to pad the interior a bit.
