Clipped a curb and got a generous scrape on wheel

I know someone wrote about this previously but I got a very "nice" sized scrape on the side of my driver's side front wheel. Is it possible to file it down to make it smooth? Has anyone done it? Who will do this sort of work? Thanks for any inputs.

I bought the Wurth silver and clear thru the internet. Decided not to use it and had it repaired locally back to brand new condition. I'll sell the Wurth cheap - never used.

Currently I have 2 wheels at the "Wheel Dr." getting straightened after going thru a construction zone. I read on here about how strong the factory wheels are, I disagree, it didn't take much to bend the inner lips.

Ouch! I guess you can't just hammer it back into shape, huh?

I have aftermarket aluminum/chrome wheels and my front right tire is pretty scraped up. I hope the Wurth stuff works on aluminum/chrome haha.

Depends on how bad is the damage. I believe the best way to go about is to find a reliable shop to re-finish the wheels for you. It's about 100 bucks per wheel

Is it usually the body shops that do sort of work (refinishing wheels)?
