Try the easy, cheap fix first. There are a lot of large rubber grommets around suspension components. Give them a good douching with WD40 or, preferably, a silicone spray. If that doesn't help, then I leave the troubleshooting to the suspension gurus since I have not had any other problems.

WD-40 will accelerate the deterioration of suspension rubber - don't do it. it's a temporary fix but a long term mistake. If you want to put a lubricant on there, use one that is compatible with suspension components (they make a lube for rubber parts that does not attack it).

Some here have reported significant improvements from servicing the suspension to refresh the various bushings, bumpers, stops and connectors. Depending on how your car has lived, it might be time to look. With the car on a rack that unloads the suspension, looseness is easy to detect and correct.

The factory service manual suggests checking torque of all suspension fasteners at this point in the life of the car - probably best to bring it to a shop unless you really have the right tools (torque wrench) and experience to locate and check all the touch points. It's money well spent.

I have the same thing and posted on it in the past. Do a search. I never found out what the problem is. Brought it to the dealership and they said my brakes still have plenty of life at 54K miles. I even asked them to check the bearings. They came back with nothing and you know the dealership would have found something wrong! Other posters have reported the same noise with their cars. Seems like something normal to me but I have no idea what it is. I have given up and decided to just let it squeak and ignore the problem.

It's a very bad idea to use a petroleum based product (WD-40) on any rubber part not designed for it. I know a lot of people do it, but it's just a matter of time. Rubber not designed for petroleum based usage will swell up twice it's size when it's used in a petroleum environment.

Try it at home.....take a piece of rubber (not fuel line ) and place it in a jar of petroleum based oil or trans fluid. Take a look at it after a couple of days.

Lesson learned. No more WD40. I'll try and find a silicone, non-petroleum based spray lubricant. Thanks for the advice. I still believe in lubing the rubber-on-metal surfaces because they can and do squeak.

Let us know what happens. I am curious what the problem is. I have the same problem but just gave up on trying to fix it. I guess when you have so many moving parts there is bound to be some kind of noise.

I've got the same issue too.

Haven't taken it to the dealer yet.

Update:

I've just heard back from the dealer so I'll update with any other details that I can get and verify that the squeak is in fact gone.

For me this turned out to be an issue with the parking brake and the rear rotors. I'm not yet sure what, if any, parts were replaced or if the rear rotors were just turned.

It really sounded like the squeak was coming from the right front tire and it didn't matter which direction the car was turning.

Update again:

The squealing persists. I don't know what sound they found and fixed but my next move is to take the tech for a drive and point out the noise.

I know mystery noises can be difficult to describe but this is not a subtle sound that you can barely hear.
