Look on the driver's door.....you will see 2 numbers....on Wilma for instance (VIN # 76,028) you see mfg = 12/07 & further down you see something that says = MDH (stands for month-date-hour) ...(in Wilma's case) MDH = 121108.....so, this means Wilma was buildt on 12/11/07 at 08:00 in the morning. Since production ended on 12/17/08....your VIN # must have been buildt several months earlier than that......LOOK ON THE DOOR.

Let me guess. The Feds confiscated it for running cocaine, then auctioned it and never checked the trunk, right ?

I realize this is an old thread, but I didn't see many production number threads to post in. I've seen a few high level charts floating around the web that are pretty accurate, but thought I would throw my research into the mix. My overall total is 6 VINs stronger than other totals that I have seen around. (All six narrowed to 2005) My VINs have been vetted and are valid built and sold vehicles. I even broke out the SE's for those that are interested. Even though the 2004s didn't have different trim levels I categorized them as LIMITED as they are close to the 2005 Limited configuration.
If there is decent interest in a COLOR and/or TRANSMISSION chart, I would consider pulling these together to share.
For those who don't know of my work, GOOGLE "PLMCRZY production numbers" and click on the images tab to see some of my work.
If you have specific questions, feel free to contact me directly (my email is embedded in the Chart Image)

I'll try not to disappoint going forward.
Any interest in COLOR and/or TRANSMISSION numbers? Is this the best thread to post production info in?

The only error I spotted is in the 2004 year, they were not called Crossfire Limiteds, just Crossfire
I modified my chart and removed the trim designation for the 2004s. I wasn't sure how the Crossfire community wanted to bucket the 2004s, now I know.

His list shows 6 more cars produced in 2005.
Fabulous list here, what is it based on? Official Chrysler figures? Maybe your avatar name should be Deep Throat.
The Base Crossfire, was a separate model and no Base Crossfires were made in 2004 at all, at least for the 2004 model year.
The Base model was a cheapened down version of the Crossfire Limited, using cloth seats and lacking other standard features of the Limited. etc.
Likewise the SE was cheaper version of the Crossfire Roadster.
The 2004 Crossfire had an auto dimming rear view mirror, the only year officially to have that feature. They were also wired for the Navigation Radio among other things.
In the past members have asked about the number of Cars made with the colors available that year.
One other point, the list says Global production, as they were all made at the same Karmann plant in Germany I do not think Global comes into it, it is not like a Ford runabout as they could be mde in a few plants worldwide.
