Default Indecision

I live in hawaii and I'm having trouble choosing a crossfire. I have two options, they are both 04, one is black with 54000 miles and one is red with 40000. Black is my favorite color for this car and red is my least favorite color on this car. The price of the black one is $10500 and it is not in that great condition, its owned by a marine and has been sitting in a parking lot for 3 weeks with a flat tire because he can't afford a new one, also the other three tires are getting close to bald. The interior is really messy and in bad condition with scratches everywhere and the paint on the plastic pieces got rubbed off in some areas, also there's open food on the floor. The red one is for $13000 but it is in beautiful condition and also has HID lights, a bra(which I hate and will take off), perfect interior, and a backup camera. Everything is in place such as the compressor in the back and the original manual, it also has 4 brand new tires. The fluids were all changed in the red one a month ago and it got aligned with the new tires. Also the headlights are perfectly clear in the red one but in the black one they are very oxidized, can't even see the headlight lenses if you look at it from the front. Which one would be smarter to choose?

I'd get the red one. But, if you really want black, Mike-in-Orange can help you with the paint problems.

Maintenance! Neglect! Not a hard decision to make. Topped off with stylish black accent and you have a classy ride. Squirrel Crusher

No doubt, the red one due to condition. But since red is not your color, be patient for the right color. I am sure there are more than 2 in your state, just wait and yours will come.

I'll take condition over color every time. I paid $11,900 for a 2004 white coupe with 24,000 on the odometer last year. But that's in Ohio. I would assume car prices are higher in HA.

condition over colour - bear in mind with the black one all the crap you can see... what about the stuff you can't engine/tranmission/brake/etc problems?

Also is it red is your least favourite or I really don't like red? If it's the latter walk from both and be patient for the right colour

i own black and in my opinion it is a better looking color. but black cars are much more high maintenance then red you will see every imperfection. plus there are some really nice red crossfires check out pusperti hes got a nice black on red setup.

How expensive is it to change a cars color and make it look good, on average?how would they paint the inside of the door and like inside the engine compartment. I want it to look like it was that color from the factory

The black one you described is going to be trouble. If what you can SEE has been abused then you can assume what you can't see has been treated the same!

Consider getting one on the mainland and shipping it home. I did a search of used Crossfires available for sale in Hawaii, and it came up NONE!
