I just want something to put on the car while sitting in a car port. Not worried about rain.... just dirt, dust and cats walking on it I don't want a light wind to blow it off either (if it is heavy wind I can inderstand)... something that fits nicely. I don't want to pay a fortune either. Any ideas?

 

Being frugal, I visited Walmart and picked up a Budget cover. Fits the car well. Since I garage my cars, I picked up the cheapest (about $30) but the slightly more expensive versions come with a cable that runs side to side through grommets, to "tie it down". I've used one since my roadster was new and bought two more cheapies for the SRT6 and 2007 just to keep dust and debris off them and to prevent those incidental scratches from things rubbing against them.

Chrysler used to sell a custom cover for over $200 -- not sure if they are still available. My neighbor has one and it fits like a glove with little pockets for the mirrors, but I'm not convinced the addl cost was worth it since nobody sees it (but me).

 

I have the custom SRT6 cover. IT has little pockets for the side mirrors, a clear plastic window for the license plate, logos, and a heat-resistant patch for the exhaust pipes. It wraps below the bottom of the car, fitting snugly. I doubt a breeze could even get in. IMHO, totally worth the extra $$.

 

There are many good covers out there that will do the job, but I like the Mopar that's made for our car. Mine fits like a glove, has the CROSSFIRE font stitch into it, the clear view for the plates.......

 

AutoZone has a cover (AutoZone brand) for $50 that comes with a 5 year Warranty.
Keep your receipt and box cuz it's probably not gonna last 5 years outside. When it goes bad return it and get another!

carcoversdirect.com has covers for the crossfire. i believe they offered a custom fit or a general fit. i ordered the custom fit on the phone with a girl named jessica. the cover itself was perfect and the company offered the best customer service i have experienced in a very long time.

 

i am getting ready to long term garage and store my 2005 Crossfire, it just hit 40,000 miles and since i bought it brand new ( original owner) I want to pass it on to my son. I need all the advice I can get about what I need to do for long term storage. I'm also trying to find the perfect fit 7 layer car cover for it. All advice appreciated!!!

blackcrossfire07 - I have a Cover King "stormking" cover that I am selling. It's made for a Crossfire Coupe. It has the elastic at both ends and has the security cable for the eyelets in the middle. If your not familiar, these fit like a glove and the cable under the car in the middle holds them secure. I paid over $250.00 plus shipping for this one and I'll sell it for $125.00 plus the shipping. It's tan in color. Coverking advertises it as full UV protection, rain and snow protection, wind protection, and minor bump protection. I used it about 3 months, outside, before I got a garage. I don't need it now and that's why I'm selling it. It's in excellent condition with no holes, rips, tears, etc. A perfectly good cover that needs a home with someone who needs one.

i need to know how many inches of car cover fits best! 185 inch or 200 inch? Please help!!!

 

 

we used a soft 50ft tape measure and went from about 3 inches under the very front under bumper over the roof and to the same amount under the rear bumper and it was 210 inches!

Check out Cover King or maybe "Kover King" Have one on my coupe. Fits nice, mirror pockets etc.

 

 

This is also the recommended size and cover from both Chrysler dealership and two different custom car cover companies. Do you have a Crossfire? What size cover have you used to perfectly fit yours? I'd be interested to know.

 

 

Mine will not be leaving the inside of my huge garage, I also wanted the padded 7 layer coverage. Not just a "cover".

 

Paul66 - If you buy a "Coverking" cover, and you specify that it is for a Crossfire Coupe, you will get one that fits like it should. Mine fits like a glove. It's a Coverking "Stormking" for a Coupe. The ones for the roadster may be different. I don't have a roadster so I don't know about their fit.
