What Car [ UK Magazine] did a head to head review of new Coupes with the Crossfire, 3.2 V6 TT, Nizzan 350Z and RX-8. The RX-8 won with the crossfire last. They claimed the 0-60 of the manual under test was 7.8 Seconds!.

They must have had a duffer surely!, What do you guys get from yours?

Mind you it was a bit strange because they later said that the mid range pull of the Crossfire was so good it beat the acceleration of the RX-8 in all gears. How come the RX-8 had a time of 6.9 seconds 0-60 then?@~}{.

Weird the way you get such different reviews but most seem to me that they don't want the crossfire to be as good as it actually is.

I don't know how you get a 0-60 result difference of 1.3 seconds over what every other review says. Someone needs to learn how to drive or something. That's pretty ridiculous.

 

for insurance groupings it was 7.1 secs on test 6.5 which is now backed by offical brochures etc....

 

I'm not going to power launch my car, nor do I have the equip to accurately do a 0-60 test.

BUT virtually all the reviews I've read, including Road and Track and Car and Driver, have the 0-60 time in the 6.4 to 6.6 range.

 

It poped from 1st to Neutral, so the driver ate 1.5 seconds recovering.

It is odd how they could be so far out, I remember Top Gear magazine who ran the same cars in a review, with again a very poor quoted 0-60 time. However they ran an actual road race with no times and only the 350Z beat the Crossfire.

Think it still came last overall, maybe its a conspiracy??

On a question of a power launch, is it true that there is an electronic limiter preventing you from overreving when not moving??.

I have a PT cruiser on lease from the dealer while I'm waiting for my crossfire and that has it. First car I,ve owned with it?
