So Long to All and Houston xF Drivers

Well I sold my 70 Roadster yesterday to a car dealer here in Houston.
07 red with 11K miles. Extremely clean not scratches. ($16,800) Carmax offered $16,000.
Really going to miss the car and you guys. Have a great life with your xF.
Here is their listing.
NXCESS MOTORCARS - 2007 Chrysler Crossfire Limited - Houston, Texas

It looks really sweet to me.
I listed it on autotrader and cars.com with no luck.
Cheers,
George

PS: Some of you Houston guys went sailing with me. I am retired and find myself on the water more and more each week. So I am chasing a wave somewhere. Wow I did like chasing the cute chicks in my xFire!

Just moved to Houston 2 months ago. It would be fun to meet other XF owners.

George, you'll always be "one of us." You've been assimilated into the Xf collective -- there is not escape!

PS, I know that NXcess place -- just off the SW Freeway near the Westpark curve, right?

A decade ago, I had to rescue my BMW Z3 from their lot. Not their fault, really, but I was selling my Z3 using a broker on FM 1960 (farm-to-market road for all you non-Texan types). Anyhow, the guy sold it to NXcess behind my back using a "dealer draft." My car disappeared and I WAS OUT $25,000!!!

So I hunted the car down and found it at NXcess. I showed up with the keys and the title and said, "I'll be taking my car back now." They were stunned, because they thought they had bought the car outright from the broker.

In the end they threatened to call the police and I said fine, go ahead, i have the title, the registration and a second set of keys. Ultimately they paid for the car on the spot and took care of me.

Whew!

Sorry to see you go George. Keep chasing the waves. I chase them also but on my surfboard. :)

On another note I bought my first sportscar from NXCESS in 98. A 94 Toyota MR2, turbo and t-tops. Good dealership. Probably my favorite car after the xfire.
