Default Muffler Specs of Crossfire

Hey everyone,

I want to purchase and oval Magnaflow muffler for my crossfire, not the round ones that come with a Maganflow Cat-Back. Does anybody know what the current size specifications of the stock muffler that we have, such as length, overal length, etc? Does anybody here have an oval magnaflow muffler on their Crossfire? Thanks!

-Sam

I just happen to have an original Crossfire muffler in my garage.

These numbers are approximate:

Hight-8"
Length-11.5"
Width-11.5"
Circumference-31.75"
Length of muffler (including tailpipes) 19"

I hope this helps, Sam.

Just another original muffler Brad. I like the sound of the "stock" muffler.
Alfdoc gave me a great deal on one, in my time of need.

Thanks fireamx, that definetely helps. I was looking at an Magnaflow muffler that is 4" x 9'' and the overall length was 20 inches with inlet/outlet pipes, without tips. I'm looking to put different tips. Therefore would an overall length of 20 inches be too much? I don't want the new tips tips sticking out.

Sam, I suppose you could "adjust" the length of the muffler and tailpipes by shortening the exhaust pipe, just ahead of the muffler.
I have no actual experience with customizing Crossfire exhaust, but I'm sure there are lots of people here who can advise you. Good Luck.
