Hope this isn't anyones car on the forum, saw this on Autotrader. It's the ultimate two tone gone bad. Yikes!

That is the worst paint job I have seen on an XF to date, except maybe the black and white 2 tone that looked like shamu the whale....

Well, this is a bad color combo....I bet in a two tone silver or blue it wouldn't look bad.

 

A couple of days ago I stopped at a body shop & asked what it would cost to do a repaint ....I've seen a Maserrati with a color I really liked.....the guy said since the car was new it would only be about $12,000.....he said if it was an old Camero....it would be more like $20K.

I think I'll stick with the colors I've got!!!

I agree, I was thinking 3, 4, 5 maybe $6K max????

 

I can see $3K for a good job, but not much more than that. Maybe, $1K more if doing a different color.

I saw that two-tone also. I thought it was a fake at first. Who'd do that to these beauties is beyond me...I thought I was going to puke when I saw it...

However, this thread got me thinking...what would compliment the graphite?

Also, I liked the side accents idea. Some shadowing with the "crossover" designs maybe?

Yes the paint plan is to extruded the strakes into the doors. Its only an idea at this time. Think of it as a "Photoshop roadmap" for future mods. This would take some serious cash to get this off the ground. Fender/body work to stuff the wheels in, and side skirts... lets not even go there, been tried on this forum with no luck! (It's more like my 5 year plan).

I hope that photo shop played a roll in that picture..

 

I like it. It might need the chrome strakes and maybe the windshield surround to match the rims. but the paint look great!

 

yeah the rims are gone now it was a bit much for me i got black with the chrome lip now, and like u suggested said im getting the chrome accents here soon

Here is a color combination that I asked "tdannar" to do for me a while back.
If I had any other color other than Alabaster, I probably would have had my car painted like this.
