Ink on the contract is hardly dry and my Crossfire is just cooling off in the garage. Took a couple of days of negotiation, but I didn't achieve the $29K+ (advertized) figure I read about in previous posts here. My dealer had 5K in dealer gouging dropped to 2K after Crossfires were not moving at the 5K figure. I bought mine for about $1500 less than Chryslers "sticker" price.
Silver automatic (a concession to my wife) with the upgrade tires and I'm tickled. A work of art I could just look at it and recoup my expenses. I wanted a red one but a test drive revealed wind noise around the drivers side window that the Silver one I bought did not have. (posted about somewhere down). Car and Driver gave it great reviews, except on power which you might expect with only 215hp on tap, but I found a website that has multiple power enhansements. The lack of a spare is disturbing but I figured out the compressor supplied and the weight and space loss gained will be appreciated. Does anyone have a serial greater than the 9900 range? I understand only about 17K units will be imported into the U.S. Thanks -------

 

To be honest, while I like the sound of 330hp, I really haven't found my Xfire wanting in the get up and go category. I believe my wife is prepared to have me committed if I go for an increase in hp.
