There is a white 2004 XF scheduled to go for auction tomorrow (Tues) in Atlanta that claims to have only 1 mile on the odometer. Can anyone confirm? My carfax acct has expired. Vin is below:

The earlier models' odometers erased themselves when the battery was disconnected. The car is almost 6 years old, I find it hard to beleive it has only moved 1 mile in its life. Maybe 10-15, but not 1. I have a feeling my 1st crossfire (2005) had a similar thing going on, the Odo read 243, but the interior showed signs of wear, and there were small dents on the exterior. If it seems too good to be true, it probably is.

 

There was an issue with the odometers rolling back after a battery was disconnected, but the on bored computer holds the actual miles but there is no way to know unless you take it to a dealer and have them hook up their computer to read it.
I know because it happened to me, they had to replace the whole instrument cluster to fix the problem.
