Both my girls (in their mid twenties) have new cars. Both treat them like there 10 years old. Both are professional women who earn a high income, but don't use any money on there cars. I talk with them often about this but it falls on deaf ears. Funny though, ever time they see my Crossfire they want it after I'm dead. I have told both of them they will never get this car. I'll give it to my granddaughter who right now is only 2 years old!!

The issue here isn't about how much the vehicle costs or is worth, the issue is that this person has to opportunity do possess a beautiful item that came in limited numbers and she is treating like a beater. As far as price goes, time will tell. Go to any friday night car cruise and think about the fact that in the '70's you could pick up an old mustang for a few hundred bucks and in the 80's an old school nova would be given to you practically. What would you give for a cherry one of those now?!?

I haven't gotten my royalty check from this? Is it in the mail?

Actually if I posted pics of my Xfire it would put this one to shame. Far dirtier and the dents in my drivers door are far worse than that little ding in the fender. Not to mention my transmission is in limp mode. Anyone want a cheap V8 project car?.....LOL

Don't worry, you know that under that dirt it's really clean. I try and keep it spotless under the hood, I spend more time cleaning there than the outside. I wash it four/five times a year max whether it needs it or not , and I polished it for the first time this year and intend to do it again before it goes under cover for the winter.

I saw a Xfire that had been oil sprayed under the hood, I nearly cried. Black oil and dirt stuck to it, real sad.

Yes there are both single, but like it is so far for me to get a tune from you they are too far for me to introduce you. Unfortunately for both of us.

As Crossfire Owners, Forum Members, Club members, etc., it is obvious we are car enthusiasts. We are especially Crossfire enthusiasts. As some have said, cars to many people are nothing more than transportation.

I guess the same can be said about our homes. There are probably some people in our neighborhoods who spend $$$$ to keep up with the Jones'. There are others who don't mind having a few of their flowers that need pruning or a sidewalk that needs a little powerwash. Oh well, to each his own.

Geez Louise...it's a $20,000 car. I see people with cars a lot more expensive than ours in worse shape. Just because you want to eat of your car doesn't mean everyone else does. My car is just as filthy. And you know...I don't know anyone that says that I should wash it because...well you know, it's a Crossfire.

Sooo sad..... Why inthehell do you even bother being a member of a forum designed for Crossfire enthusiasts if you have no pride in the fact that you own a Crossfire.... and are proud to announce that you neglect even the most basic of care for it. Many years from now when you see a Crossfire at the Concourse De Elegance or going up for auction on Barrett Jackson for an unbelievable amount of money due to its rarity (due to limited production/neglected/wrecked cars), you may look back and say damnnn..... I wish that I had taken better care of mine. On the other hand.... probably not because you are likely to not even give a sheit. Yes, the title of this thread is appropriate..... some people don't deserve a crossfire!!!

Ohhhh.... For the record, now you have been told.... You should wash it because...well you know, it's a Crossfire.

Good Grief, I just came from my garage, after waxing my car for the third time this week, Armor all tires, 8 times--clean brake dust at that time. I come in the house, turn on the puter, and YUK first think I see is this ugly,(must be imitation,) Crossfire. I would not park my car within a mile of that sorry excuse of a Crossfire.
It has been raining here all week my baby has not been out of the garage, all week, all I do is go out and clean, what dont really need cleaning, but then, I am just a fanatic about a clean car.

I was part shopping at the junk last week, and I do believe there are cleaner wrecked cars than that one...but, as Matt would ask, is she good in bed???? Who cares about the car...then again, just us old guys would...

Since this post started, I have begun to notice the cars in the parking lot where I work. This is a small parking lot with around 60 cars in it, and the work environment consists of a professional work force. Of these cars, I have noticed that close to 90% of them are maintained in a very clean state. Of the ones that are neglected, I have noticed that the owners are co-workers that have very little professional drive, and are more lax in their attire. Is this indicative of my particular office or is there a distinct correlation between the two? Makes you wonder!
