Radio TSB out at dealers!!!!!!!!!
The TSB 08-036-03 is online at the chrysler dealerconnect site. All dealers should now have access to this info.We now get TSB's online (need a chrysler password)at the dealer and also still get TSB's in paper form.I can also check for TSB's and ask tech. questions from my home computer with my chrysler password. The radio will have to be ordered so call the dealer tell them you have the radio display problem and give them the TSB # 08-036-03 so they can order it ahead of time.Hopefully most dealers are on the ball and can do this for you. Some may ask you to come in and see if you have the old display first. The TSb was released on friday Dec. 12 2003 in the electrical group.

After what i saw yesterday when I had my new radio installed I would say it takes longer to get into and back out of the car than it takes to remove the radio and install a new one.........it was way to easy ( I suppose thats what its suppose to be with the right tools )
The actual repair should only take 5 to 10 minutes! It's the 15 minutes that you spend getting the tsb printed...getting the car from the parking lot...getting the radio keys from the crossfire tool box...going to the parts counter...going back to the parts counter to return radio...parking car..filling out repair order...etc.You have to be a dealer tech to see where Mopar Doctor is coming from!
This is great news. The "system" at DC actually works. This is a very good example of customer service.
The members of this forum finally got them motivated to take corrective action.
Unfortunatly I stored my Xfire for the winter just last evening. Hope the offer is still good about April 1, 2004.

Crossfire tech is right, there is more legwork to many jobs than the pay we get. DC also wants us to write down all the preset button frequencys before the radio is pulled and then reenter them when the new radio is in. Thats 30 stations to set. Learn to live on a empty wallet, work flatrate. Reception will probably be the same with the new radio :x :x :x
Went to the dealer today so they could see I have the bad radio which was required before ordering a new one. It took about 30 minutes and I was on my way. It was a good thing I took the printout of the TSB with me because they weren't too sure of what was going on and the TSB number and info helped them get up to speed.
Many thanks to those who helped get the TSB info out to this site

My first post. I called my dealer Monday morning (yesterday) with the TBS information that I got from the forum. They called this morning (Tuesday) said they had my new radio in. I drove to the dealership this afternoon and had it installed. Is that great service or what!

THANKS to Crossfire Tech and Mopar Dr.!!
Tech answered my question (I hadn't noticed this thread) by referring me here. I'll call my dealer tomorrow and give them the number.
Happy Holidays!!!

Thank's to everyone in this Forum.
I got my new radio installed yesterday, without you I would have never thought about changing it. The display is defenetly better to read now.
No difference in reseption here.
Also brought the TSB number to my dealer. Thank's to the number he could find the TSB and ordered the radio for me.
