Living in Central Texas it's only a matter of time till one confronts our "deer" residents who are in unseemly aboundant numbers this year ! Strange since we had such a hot dry summer.
Well I tagged myself one of the four legged horned variety critters on the way to work yesterday and will soon be looking for replacement parts. Any help will be much appreciated. Looking for a front bumper (preferrabley of the SRT variety), hood, left front qtr. panel, left side headlight assy. and grille. Anyone have this stuff layin around at a good price, let me know !

Sorry to hear about your accident. I'm sure you're aware that this recession has hit the entire deer community hard & some are cracking under the pressure!! Deer suicide is a real problem now that all their all jobs have been outsourced to those dang penguins!! I hear that they long for the days of Snow White & Bambi....

Maybe I should wait until I am awake to post!!

I know you are in the San Antonio area. If you need a good body shop, I got a guy that is amazing! Someone rear ended me and they did an amazing job. Got me a mew bumper and tail light in a few days. Had the job done fast. Everyone recomended them and said they had so many problems with other places... that these guys are the best in town.

By the way, I almost hit one a few weeks ago early in the morning. He was walking across the road and I couldn't make a complete stop. He stepped aside just in time because he was inches from my bumper. I was in another car.

Like I said... if you need help with a good body shop in your area, let me know.

 

Hadn't heard anything from the insurance company as yet, but being as though this is my daily driver I need to get her repaired ASAP and if I can get the jump on things to locate parts so much the better !

Sorry to hear this Stogey. I've had the same concern here in the Land of Lincoln. I see deer on a daily basis, and concerned it's just a matter of time .

Stogey - sorry to hear about your mishap, I almost ran into one on my way home from work the other night on my bike (as in cycle). That should be a comprehensive claim on your insurance. As for the parts......

 

They wiped out my garden this year, even with a deer fence. Okra-corn-tomatoes.......95% destroyed!!

 

That is why we have "hunting season" and it is coming soon! It seems like there are a lot of deer running around this time of year but that will all end soon. I can't wait for my hot deer stew on a cold day!
