Default What color is yours?

Someone should make a pole on what color everyone is buying.

In San Antonio I have seen two reds and one ssb...

Mine is the only black around here from what the dealers tell me.

Black is my prefered color but here in Florida the sun just eats it up. I relocated here about 10 years ago with a black BMW 325is and conducted an informal test with a white car parked beside me, laid a hand on each and quickly removed the one on my BMW while the white cars hand remained relatively cool. I compromised and bought a Sapphire Silver Crossfire but had eyes for that red beauty sitting next to it. But a highly polished black Crossfire with those large georgous wheels has got to be a sight to see. Our dealer didn't have one.

I do like the look of that white one but I was not brave enough to order it in white but went for the red insead. In the end it did not matter cos the white is not an option in the UK. Shame I would of liked to of seen one for real.

Hey Big Mac Dave, that probably isn't true (sorry), because I know of at least one black one that was sold at Ancira and another that was the first balck one in the city over at Red McCombs. I think the graphite is the rarest color. I have yet to see one in person.

Well there ya go... those f&!%#'s liars  Just kidding

got mine at Ingram and they said they have only recieved one black one (mine) and lots of reds, silvers and whites. thats all they have right now for that matter.

In fact i would have bought the silver but out of three they have, all have cedar interiors that i personally dont like.

I agree thou, Graphite is the rare one. But I did see one in the medical center a few days ago. the guy must be like me, cuz he parked it out in the middle of nothing in the parking lot :-)

Drove in the light rain over the weekend to San Marcos,... wont do that again... what a pain in the butt to get her shiney again.

SSB for me. Dealer had a red one in at the same time and looking at them side by side, personally, I had to have the SSB.

SSB here, with the cedar interior and auto-stick; just the combo I wanted. Looks great with a coat of Meguiar's on it.
Drove a red 6-speed, but didn't care for the tranny; felt just a touch clunky from first to second. Naw, that's not it. At my age I just don't care for working the clutch anymore, especially in Seattle stop 'n go.

Yeah, with all the work being done on 35, you'd probably have a better time going on I-10 out to Boerne. They haven't had to work on that road for a while, plus there's more than 1 lane of highway to work with. I went to Ingram back in Spring and they didn't seem too informed on the Crossfire. They had to get a manager to come out and tell us when they receive their first car. Red McCombs also jacked their first one up (the black one) 10 Grand, so I'll never go there again. Ancira seems to be the best so far, but I haven't checked north of the city. The Fleet Manager at Ancira told me he would be getting the 300C early spring and the SRT-6 Crossfire (he just said the better engine) in mid-spring with the Crossfire Convertible coming in the fall. So it seems everyone's info is about the same regarding the srt-6 and convertible. I'll keep you guys updated when I can.

I bought my Expedition from Bluebonnet so i went there first... struck a deal and ordered a ssb Sept 3rd... to this day... it still has not come in.... i looked online and saw ingram got 11 in, so i went there and fell in love with the black. (only one out of 11)...

showed them the deal i had with Bluebonnet (complete with $1000 deposit recipt attached so they knew it was legit) and they said no dice cant do it...

I said "okay" thank you for your time, ill wait for the other to come in... the general manager quickly came in and said "if we match this price, will you be a new car owner today?" I said "Im not here buying apples" :-)

INCLUDING TT&L i financed 33,500 no money down. 30,930 before tax etc...

drove it the next day to Bluebonnet to get my deposit back. the sales guy saw me coming in and met me at the door saying "your car has confirmed shipment for January" i told him look out the window, he was TOOOOO late.

Cheebs... Ron Yorks was my sales guy at Ingram... very nice and no BS.. tell him David Crawford sent ya.

The sales guys that night called me "The guy who stole a Crossfire"... but i just said - yeah right, its not like there is a hoard of people ready to burn a 35K hole in thier pocket lined up outside.

they moved a unit, it was a good day.

Thanks for the recommendation and I would go to ingram, but we've bought 5 cars at Ancira and have known the Fleet Manager (Paul Zini if you ever go there. He's such a nice guy and not a car salesman if you get my drift) for more than 11 years, so I would have to make Ancira my number one choice unless their pricing is out of whack. I liked the people at Ingram, they just weren't informed about the Crossfire back when it was announced to begin production. So going to Ingram would kinda be like starting over with a dealership. But thanks anyway. Almost the same exact situation (you w/ BLueBonnet) arose when we bought our PT Cruiser in 2001. We ordered it from a less known dealer because they hadn't yet reached their allotment. Well, about 6 months later they mailed us saying that we would have to re-order the car because they wouldn't get any more Cruisers that year. So we looked towards one of the bigger Detroit Dealerships named SouthField Chrysler. They took our order and had the car for us within 5 months (a very short time for a PT Cruiser in 2001). I guess it's a flip of a coin when it comes to car dealerships. Hope to talk to you soon.

 We love our Graphite - but maybe because it is the rarest color, they don't seem to make any "toys" in Graphite. If anyone knows where to find a Graphite Model Crossfire, please post it or PM me to let me know. :?

I forgot to let everyone that read this post know but fleet manager at the dealership I went to said that the crossfire convertible will be a retractable hardtop. Big news, but more $$$ for the convertible now.
