Default It Shifts Smooth!!!!!!

Hey Gang,

#2815 is back home with a new transmission and boy does it shift smooth!!! You wouldn't know you were driving the same car!!! And yes, it's a car your glad to be back behind the wheel in.

We went around the ring a few times at the dealership and butted heads, but in "one" short week they made it right even tho they "never" duplicated the 1st gear problem.

A big "thanks" to the guys at Superstion Springs Chrysler-Jeep in Mesa, AZ: Al, Jeff, Gene, Dave, Brian and the mechanic who did the work (I never did get to meet him but the next time I'm there I'll track him down and give him a hug  ).

Oh, the tire was plugged so I can drive it till the new one comes in Tuesday (of course I won't be racing anyone this weekend but that's OK).

ALL IS WELL IN ARIZONA TONIGHT!!!!

Hey, I didn't forget... "thanks" to all of you who gave me the info to go up against the dealer and get a difficult problem resolved!!!

Does the new transmission shift smoother than the first??? I'm wondering if there's a trick or solution to smoothing out the 6M.

Yep!!! Although still a tad clunky... it's alot better than the old one. As far as a "trick or solution", I don't know. They did say something about different numbers than the old one, I'd say a different production run???

I don't... took it out for dinner last night and put it away before the rain. Shhh, don't let anyone know it's raining in Phoenix, it will ruin our image!!!

Good for you, AZ. You probably got a revised transmission. Likely, the part # superceded the old one in your car. Maybe you can post your receipt here.
