Hit From Behind
If this makes you feel better... I had the same thing happen to me. My tail pipe was bent and the bumper was all messed up. Even the tail light had a small chip in it. New OEM tail light and bumper... The body shop did a great job matching the black paint. The car looks perfect now. Actually it looks better than it did new
You are lucky a new back bumper is all you need. These cars tend to crumble and it is not uncommon for 5K worth of damage.
You can't own anything nice anymore.... too many people on cell phones, texting or writing emails on their blackberry.

Hopefully you were not hurt in the accident too badly. If you were hit at 30+ MPH, I would think that there could be a lot more damage (that might not be fixable). Make sure they fix it right if they can.
Man this really makes me sick. I have a real "soft spot" for "customized" Crossfires, and always thought your car really stood out.
I hope nobody was hurt, and your car can be repaired quickly.
Keep us posted, and Good Luck.

This is really sad. I CANNOT stand those morons who just stops in the middle of the road to make an illegal turn. When I join the field hopefully sometime soon, They will one of my big targets in traffic! Good luck and i hope everything will workout they way you wish!
That just stinks. I hope the guy making the illegal turn got a ticket.
I haven't heard of any problems getting the rear bumpers. Just the fronts. Good luck and hope it's fixed 100% to your satisfaction.

I feel badly for you. I was just grazed at less than 5 mph and it cost $500 to remove/repaint the rear bumper. I hope it all comes together clean and good as new.
Once again, like I preach to my kids, never stop up tight to the car in front of you. Leave 10 feet for a potential get-away...or at least to save your front end if someone runs into your rear. I think I spend more time defensive driving than driving. Any careless moron can get a license and it seems the biggest POS on the road is what hits you. Good luck.

I feel your pain!!!! Apparently this same moron was driving in Orlando two weeks ago. Same thing, and now my hatch does not open and latch properly, Goes in the shop next week for bumper and taillight along with whatever else they find. I hope you are ok. You may hurt tomorrow.
Thanks everyone for your comments, Car went into the shop today and might get it back in a week or 2 probably 2 or more, anyway just the rear bumper is damaged no suspension or axel damage. They put it on a frame rack and checked it, also are checking u-joints ect, but its looking good so far. Lots of Kooool people on this site THANKS.
Hope to meet a bunch of you this summer in St Louis
Hope they get you taken care of quickly and glad you weren't hurt. I had a scraped rear bumper this summer. Fortunately it was just a scrape and was easily fixed, I wish you the same.
Thats one of my fears, having an SUV use my rear bumper for a skate board ramp. Fortunately the guy that hit you had insurance. So many people now days drive without it. I wish you success, I cringe with a door ding, I can't imagine the pain of getting whacked.
Man you had your self a beauty. It's sad seeing a crossfire enthusiast in a wreck. Their maybe a lot of crossfire enthusiasts in some areas, but up here their are barely any.
Hope it is fixed soon and you are OK. I hate city driving and getting rear ended is one of those things you have no control of. It is difficult to be a defensive driver when some jerk gets you in the tail. I was down in Phoenix the other day and the 101 in Scottsdale has really turned back toa raceway since they took the speed cameras down.
Well believe it or not just got my car back, 5 days from impact to complete repair, dealership in Phoenix, AZ, Bill Luke Chrysler did an incedible job, color match is perfect better than factory paint on the rear bumper, anyway thanks to all who posted. If any of you are in St louis this summer I will see u there. Crossfires across America can't wait.
We just got ***-ended on the Cross Island Parkway by an inattentive Escalade. He was probably going 5mph but it felt like quite a shot. I hopped out (bumper to bumper traffic) and checked for damage. None! Talk about lucky, the only mark was where the dust was removed by the impact. Stronger than I thought!
