I was sure thinking about it but the problem is like 180 said ....................300 bucks for a 260$ cover. I'm sure it will go higher before the bidding ends tomorrow.

Thirteen Dog - what did you do with your broken cover??
Let me know if you want to get rid of it, we can work something out.

My Dad worked for the dealership at the time, so we swapped it out. I'll ask him if they hung on to it or had to send it back to Chrysler since it was a warranty type issue.

Let me know, I 'd be happy to work something out with you if it still exists.
Thanks - Pat

it looks like the same guy that bids $15,000 for a $199 Wii at Christmas time is bidding on this cargo cover.

it is over $500, congrats to the seller though.

If the guy that bought it is interested, I have a 25 cent pack of gum I will sell him for the discounted price of $250.00 with free shipping.

That's insane!

We keep a simple blanket in the hatch to cover any valuables.

It isnīt insane. If you want to have an original xfire, with an original cargo cover , you have to pay for it. I think someone is envious, because a guy can pay 510 USD (less than 360 Euros)

I started a thread here a year or so ago when I could not get one of these covers and I thought that there was a possibility that the cover could be made from a Magnum cargo cover. They looked very similar, but my neighbor traded his Magnum before I got to really study it.
Some mods were going to have to be done to it, I even drew up the mounting hardware required to fit it into the Xfire.
My wife thought I was crazy to buy the stock one, I should have purchased more as this one did way way better than the stock market over the same period.

I'm sorry but 510$ ????? I figured a tad over 300 bucks, thats insane! But I scratch my head at some of the Barrett Jackson sales..........I wonder how many of those sales are made to people who are caught up in the moment? I don't get it but its fun to watch. You can bet if that cover was on BJ they'd have gotten a grand for it

If you want something and an extra few hundred bucks means little in the end, why not. If its the last one to come up for sale its a deal if you really want it. It was worth it to this guy and not to the guy that bid $505. Who knows the maximum this guy was willing to pay, he could have put down a max bid of a thousand, sat back and waited for the ebay win/no win notification.
I thought about the cost when I got my one, and as I pondered they got fewer and fewer. In the end I was really hunting around, six in North America. I was not even looking for who was selling it the cheapest, I just wanted one, period.

I agree with the members that say having all original accessories in your XFIRE is worth it, no matter what the cost. Naturally, if you are willing to pay the price. I myself in the past 2 yrs. of owning my '05 coupe have bought every accessorie available!LOL Lighted door sills, chrome OEM rims, chrome grille, etc, etc. I also have the elusive brand new ,in the box, security cover. I was gonna install it this spring,( my garage is unheated and N.Y. winters suck), but the price this one went for is just crazy!......Anybody out there hear of that rap song "Things that make you say,hhmmmm?"!LOL.....Ahh, I'll probably install it anyway.

It was the best thing I've seen on this board in a long.

Very original

very funny.

And, maybe too close to the truth
