I think the actual number is somewhere in between, leaning a bit towards 20K (17 or 18,000?)
Doens't really matter how many are made, though, if all most of them do is sit on a dealer lot, lined up nicely.

Asuming that the VIN's are somewhat sequential, my car is VIN 7121 and was purchased early November of 2003. I have a friend that purchased one after Christmas and his VIN is in the 13000's. So I would guess that there will probalbly be around 25,000 built for this model year, with most being delivered to NorthAmerica.

I will see if I can find where I read that.

Those are the numbers that I've heard. Except I heard that 3,000 would be for Europe (left hand drive) and 2,000 for UK and Australia (rt. hand drive) That leaves 15,000 for the States.
"The estimated production volume for Crossfire in the 2003 calendar year is 20,000 units worldwide - with approximately 15 per cent of those units going to markets outside North America."

I have read in multiple magazines that total worldwide production for 2004 was 11,700, with 9,700 available in the U.S. I just came back from a business trip to Rome and saw a Crossfire driving the streets there. Quite a brave person considering how they drive and how rough the roads are.
You know, when I bought the car I was under the impression that there was 8700 in the US. Now I see VIN numbers in the 10,000. The car WAS selling over list (not that I paid over list) and NOW i see incentives on the car. (I live in NY, but in New England they have incentives) Anyone else getting a bad taste in their month? I really feel like a fool.
