I would love to autox mine, but I'm not sure I could fit in the car with a helmet on.

Yo "Mr Road Racer" WMichaels... :P :P :P

So cool!!! Any details as for times etc??? I'll bet it was a real blast. Did you run with the traction control on or off??? Do you still have any tread left on your tires??? :P :P :P

Seriously, looks like you really had a ball and #2896 was looking good!!! I'll bet you turned a lot of heads. 8) 8) 8)

BTW: Two things... you need to get VA to get rid of those front plates and VA sticker on the window. I noticed your base sticker on top. I still haven't decided were to stick mine, I never did care for those military stickers plastered on a car.

I turned times that started @ 26.30 and after my 3rd. run were 22.24. There was a 350 Z that turneed a 22.51 and a Super charged Honda 2000 that turned a 21.92. The best time was turned by the 500 CID mustang (In front of me in Picture "Parade lap" in my album). He also won FTM (fast time for meet).

Actually it was about 40 degrees today and I only dropped my tire pressure to 26 Lbs. I had NO problem with traction and I kept the Traction control turned off. I think there are a couple of pictures that show the car sliding a little. But control was 100%. This thing is AWESOME!!! I had young guys coming up and asking if I was going to do any "Drifting" this summer. I had no clue what they were talking about. They told me I would be awesome at it..... I will have to check into what he was talking about..... Does any one here know???

It was the best time I've had since I've had the car!!! It made me feel like a kid again!!! When I was racing midgets and sprint cars at ASCOT Park in Gardena, California in the late 60s before I went into the service.
Don't garage it..... Run It!!! (My last Sprint car run was in York, Pa, in 1972.... I ended up flipping and the Army told to quit racing or quit the flying for the Army.... I needed money, so I kept flying).

One person on this forum told me that the Xfire is no good for Autocross..... Now I've had a second round and I'm here to tell you "It is an awesome Autocrosser!!!" Try it and you will agree!

It sure does!!! I thought for a minute that if it wasn't rack and pinion it wouldn't work...... Old age makes you take a couple of looks sometimes.

My problem was getting the helmet off because of the swelled head after the run.

Drifting is a high speed power slide, usually over 50mph and hold the slide for as long as you can. Crossfire stability controls will not allow. Even if turned off they will auto kick in after 40mph.

Cool stuff there. 8)

Nice to see the car in motion. Only ever seen one moving in real life, and that was mine (following in a another car). It really looks soooo much sleaker in motion. Dont' get me wrong, it looks great just parked. But, moving is like a theater movie vs at home on dvd. Just a whole 'nother experience.

Thanks, Galen Dracos. I wish the sound was better so you could hear the exhaust. It was a pretty windy day.
