Average age?
we read scores better. 37-21 after we lost 14 players drafted into the NFL (a record I might mention) UM got killed in last two bowl games, lost to the Buckeyes 3 of last four years(post cooper). You lost to Notre Dame???? I read somewhere and I am not sure of the numbers but UM has had like seven 3 loss years out of the last 10. UM is becoming an embarrassment to the Big ten. Once we got rid of Cooper Carr could no longer recruit in Ohio. This year he recruited Harrison a 5' 8" !!!! corner that we weren't even interested in. The guy is going to need to carry a step stool on the field to defend our 6'5" recievers. Who is going to be your next coach? OSU is rated between 2 and 5 preseason and expected to compete for the NC again. UM is rated somewhere around 14. Another long season for you guys!! GO BUCKS

Who went to the rose bowl this year? Who's kicker choked and lost to Northwestern? And speaking of bowls, where was your QB at your bowl game?
Check Michigan's stats more closely. 11 National Championships. The most wins of all time. Second highest winning percentage of all time. 30 straight bowl appearences. And number one in attendance.
Step off, fuckeye.

There are few things more interesting than listening to Buckeye and Wolverine fans whine and rant about Big 10 dominance. Yeah Yeah but that was then. How easy it is to ignore the fact that the Big 10 champs live well to the west. Look at this years recruiting results. The Hawks are waiting for both of you. Bring it on.
who backed into the rose bowl and got their a$$ kicked(lmfao)? If Wisc doesn't fall apart in the last two games you don't back in. Quit talking about ancient history. we had 13 years of cooper which gave you the Big ten most years. What have you guys done lately except lose. Minnesota gave you a game by laying down in the 4th quarter! But losing to the Sisters of the Poor????? We had a total rebuilding year and we still KICKED your butts. It wasn't even close. When will you guys learn how to cover a running QB. Quess what you are going to be seeing all next year from everyone on your schedule? running QB's!! Maybe your 5'8"(in cleats by the way) corner can borrow your band director's stool? Maybe the ref's won't notice. Quit basking in old accomplishments. You guys were great when you recruited all the good guys out of Ohio because Cooper was an a$$hole. You got a couple of mediocre players that were leftovers of kids that were frontrunners and followed UM during the cooper years. But that has stopped. look at your miserable recruiting this year.

Other than manningham whose brother went to UM during the cooper years, you got scrap from Ohio. Now you have to get all your players out of state because MI has virtually nothing in state. Whom does the Bell toll for? It tolls for your program. Because you have to compete with USC,Tenn,Miami, Purdue FSU Florida,Georgia, South Carolina,Penn State, and even Iowa kicked your *** in recruiting this year(we are even or just behind with them(depends on Gwaltney who goes to us or USC). You guys aren't even on the radar with a decent recruiting class. Carr is finally being shown as the lousy coach who won with great recruits out of Ohio. Now he is in trouble and so is your program. I'll be in Ann Arbor on Nov 19th. You can tell who I am because I will one of the 2,000 or so that will be cheering our heads off at the end of the game. Remember the expression on you band member's faces at the end of the game last year? they showed it on National Tv for about 5 seconds. Looked like someone shot their pet. GET USED TO IT.

uncle_al, You have a good team every once in a while and otta be good next year! See you in the Shoe sept 24th. Let the better team win. I'd rather it be you guys than UM any day. But unfortunately I think your good days will be short lived. You are doing well because Ferrentz is a great coach and a good recruiter. He is getting everyone from Ill because no one wants to go to ND any more. Unfortunately it is only a short while before he bails on you guys and heads for the NFL. He is just waiting for the right offer. He always was an NFL guy. Enjoy him while he is there. Tressel will be in columbus for at least another15 years. He just had the misfortune of recruiting a couple of idiots(Clarrett and Troy Smith). Those days are gone, he is only allowed to recruit one "academic" project a year. They all go to Michigan State which has a program designed for academic problems. Half of their football team couldn't even get into OSU. Out graduation rate for our football team is outstanding now that cooper is gone. Don't even think that Tressel is going anywhere. He has stated the the OSU job is his dream job. And neither he nor Geiger did anything wrong in the Clarret and Smith fiasco, outside of trusting a couple of getto kids that wanted to get the Bling while in college. Go to tennecheat or Auburn and you would find the same thing. Except those southern boys are smart enough to keep their mouths shut.

Buckeye, YOUR Rebuilding year? We lost our starting QB, Running back, and a good chunk of our defensive line last year and still won the big10. Henne and Hart are freshmen and I don't think that we'll have to worry too much about our recruiting in the next few years, barring we work on the defensive line a little. Steve Breston stepped up big time in the rose bowl to fill departing Edwards shoes, so I am not worried about our pass or rush offense.
And having our asses kicked in the Rose Bowl? We lost by one point, a field goal. That would be like saying you guys got your asses kicked by NW when it was just a choke job by your kicker.
And like wise. I went to every Michigan game this year, except illinois. And I knew that going into the shoe that your mobile QB was going to give us trouble. The irony is that we might not have even had to deal with him if they had found out that he was illegally taking kickbacks from boosters earlier. Shame on you for shunning Clarett for coming out with ... It turns out he was right.
You can step in to the big house any day. I love this rivalry more than any other in sports. And I am happy to see the small mass (what are your thousands compared to hundred thousand?) of crimson and silver in a sea of maize and blue. I am graduating and going to Wisconsin next year for medical school. But you better believe I will be back for "The Game"
Lol, all rivalry aside, OSU is a great football team and I wouldn't underestimate either of ours for a second. Besides, the "game" is often a clutch point in the season of both. Good luck next year. I hope all your recruiting pans out and it doesn't lead to just being overated... Pre-season rank means very little in my book if you don't have the W's to back it up.

pysanide,
I was at the NW game and trust me it wasn't Nugent's fault. It just came down to he had to save out butts one more time(55 yd in the Marshall game) and with the wind and lousy field he couldn't do it. He is without a doubt the best Field Goal Kicker we have ever had. He will probably go in the 2nd rd or third at worst this year. That is high for a kicker. The problem was we didn't have a running back at all last year. Ross and Hall stunk. I honestly thought UM was going to kick our butts last year. Our offensive and defensive lines and zwick stunk up the joint for the whole year up til that game. Smith lost the purdon't game all by himself the previous game by having 4 turnovers in the second half. we were playing 3-4 for most of the year because we didn't have three def linemen to start. Our lines got pushed back 3 yds on off and def all year. I have no idea what tressel told them but they gang tackled like they hadn't all year. In the bowl game they played the same way without a QB(Zwick is not the answer). if you watched OSU -OKIE state Okie didn't score until Tressel cleared the bench. Troy Smith is an idiot that took the money when he thought he wasn't going to play. He was talking to the media about transfering at the time(April-may). Tressel did't want to start hime because he is as dumb as a box of rocks. We got deleay of game penalties because smith has to go to the sidelines to get the play call because he is too dumb to read hand signals. I wish we could recruit QB's like you guys. Clarrett did us a ton of harm. Not only did he not play the last two years but no other RB would come to OSU for fear that MoC was coming back. We got Maurice Wells this year and are praying for gwaltney. we need RB's bad. it will be interesting this year our othe PK is trying to get another year of eligibility(Huston) but I doubt it. Nugent saved our butts for 3 years straight. The guy was Phenominal. I think that kick in the NW game and one in the Ill (we won in OT) game in 2002 was the only crucial kicks he ever missed. we will miss him sorely.
