Should I get an alignment after tire replacement ?
Probably should have posted this under suspension/tire but I need some answers soon. Just replaced my tires with 235/40/18 and 275/35/19’s and think maybe I should get a new alignment. Never had an alignment as tires didn’t cup or pull from the factory. I only have 22k on the clock but maybe I should spring for a little piece of mind. It’s not like we can rotate our tires a lot to get better wear. Not trying to get the push out or anything just want good wear. Anyone?
You need to take a good look at your old tires, especially the fronts. If they seem to be worn evenly, and the car drives fine, and straight, with the steering wheel straight ahead and no pulling, then I might hold off on spending the money. Its your piece of mind which can be priceless sometimes. Don't fix it if it ain't broke.
But if you decide to go for it, stay away from places like Tire Discounters, Tires Plus, Tires R Us.... Go to a professional shop that specializes in front end work/alignments.

That’s what I though about the don’t fix it thing but with the size change I didn’t know if it would throw off the whole geometry of the offset tire system. Thanks
wow, James we were posting at the same time...same answers...lol
I increased size as well with zero problems...just keep an eye on wear
