All of this talk about tires
But I don't believe anyone has mentioned the tires that came on my Crossfire. According to my window sticker they were a extra cost option at $185. The tires are Continentals front and rear and marked 225/40R18 and R19 M&S (mud and snow). Additional markings are ContiTouringContact ECO Plus and Made in Germany. They also have a website listed on them www.conti-online.com A website on which they mention that these tires are great in snow etc. Not much of a selling point here in Florida. Anyone else get Continentals on their Crossfire? I am quite pleased with them as they are extremely quiet and are wearing well.
I have the same tires on my car. No complaints but I haven't been driving it for the past 3 weeks or so since we got ice, snow, more snow then ice. It's finally melted off the streets was able to take it out last night when we went to dinner. Again, couldn't tell you if they work in snow or not.
The std tyres are PS2's (see Michelin site)"ultra high performance" NO milage rating ,,,the optional "$$" M & S rated ones, do not give the adhesion of the PS2's but of course the PS2's are worthless in "M & S" areas. I have the 1st generation Pilot Sport's on my Subaru 2.5RS they are teriffic.

ccrossfire, mine came w/the same tires your's is equipped with...and no complaints thus far. been out in snow several times w/out any major problems, ice is lousy, but it is for anyone!
got my crossfire in october and i just turned over 10k mi last week. tires are (in my opinion) holding up very well...they still look/feel like new!
my question is tire pressure. i know what the manufacturer recommends, but notice that my dealer inflates them more than the recommended...i've just not gotten around to asking them why.
do you have an opinion on pressure? thanks. bonster

I am quite careful about tire pressures, checking them at least monthly. I have my own compressor and always check them at home - cold, and inflate one or two pounds above recommended pressure. But I modify that according to tire wear. Buy a good digital guage a small compressor and DIYourself.
