What color to get?! Sapphire Silver Blue or Graphite?
Hey guys. I'm new to the forum and probably getting a new crossfire this weekend. My real problem is deciding on the color. This seems to be a hot topic on here - Sapphire Silver Blue or Graphite? The colors seem to really change on me when I look at them at the dealership, and sometimes I love the SSB and other times I love the Graphite. Would love some insight on people who were on the fence like I am and any other info, comments, etc. would be great. I can't wait to drive mine home...if only I could pick a color!
I own the black with the cedar interior but if your only looking at SSB and graphite I'd say definately go for the graphite. Before I even went to a dealership I looked on the net and thought SSB was a much nicer color but when I went it I didn't like it much. Don't get me wrong it's still a nice looking color but for me the silver trim doesn't stand out enough. My top 2 colors of black and graphite. I think of them as executive colors.
But really its all down to personal opinion so just go in and take a long look at them and you'll realise which color is for you.
Hope this helps

Thanks for your reply. Is the cedar interior the darker of the two? I'm not a big fan of the two tone, just my personal taste, so I'm getting the dark interior. I sat at the dealer for 30 minutes looking at the SSB and graphite side by side...one minute I'm positive I am getting one, and the next minute the other. I guess in the end I can't go wrong, right? It's still a crossfire. Thanks for your input! Counting down the days til I drive mine home.
There are three interior color options. Dark Slate Grey, Dark/Light Grey, and Cedar/Dark(I'm not sure if it's dark or light that goes with the cedar). The cedar is tough to describe. Look at oct's post and you'll see what it looks like. It's almost a pumpkin red.
I liked both as well, but I really liked the way the SSB "changes" color, based on the location. Sometimes it looks more blue, sometimes more silver.
And around here, the SSB stays cleaner looking longer......
The interior? My only choice last October was the two tone gray, but I really liked it so that was not a problem for me.

Very simple solution, get the color you like best. If your like me, and like them all choose the SSB, it's the best compromise. If you don't want to compromise, then get white, black or red. But then the Graphite is very nice too  Don't thank me, glad to help
Well, I finally decided to get the SSB with the auto stick. I'm going to go pick it up later tonight and am glad to now be among the ranks of all you fellow crossfire owners. Stay tuned for pictures!

thanks. great info.
i guess in the event i ever were to sell i could claim that i have the rarest color and ask a premium.
I realize I'm too late, but as one of the few women on the site, I can tell you that me and my best friend both thought the graphite looked like a "James Bond car" and thought the color was very cool. But I bought the SSB because ultimately I don't care as much for the contrasting silver trim and think it looks best on the SSB. Have fun with your new ride!

True, but on the other hand one might say you have the least desired, and therefore least desireable color, and you may have to discount to sell.
Seriously, haven't cared much for the white in pix, but saw my first white Xfire live and in motion this week and it's a much more striking car in the flesh.

I like knowing that my color is a rare color. I was juct at my dealer yesterday and they had just gotten in 3 Crossires. 2 SSB and 1 Graphite. They already had 4 in stock.... 2 Black and 2 Red. They've only had 1 other Alabaster delivered to them.
But whatever color you have, you have an awesome car. :P

I am with rob m. My graphite cf (arriving next month) is the color choice. I don't know if everyone will agree but, I went to the dealer to complete the loan forms and there was a graphite on the lot (sold). Brand new freshly detailed (valeted) and in the sunshine. A rairty in scotland. As I admired every angle I could see flecks of bronze in the paint work. As you look from different angles it changes colors. Not as much as sapphire but, a change never the less
