Default Zoom Zoom

Since it would be entirely insane to post personal illegal activities on the internet, I thought I'd take this opportunity to describe an entirely hypothetical event. A Toyota Celica GT circa 2004 and a 2008 Crossfire simultaneously turn on to a three lane entry ramp to an empty interstate on a Sunday afternoon in April in a Southwestern American City (not Las Vegas). Side-by-side it takes about a tenth of a second for both drivers to realize that they do not desire the other driver to beat them to the highway (or anywhere). The Crossfire quickly pulls away shutting down the accelleration at 90-95. At that speed there is a full six to eight car lengths between the trailing Celica and the Crossfire.

A second later the Celica zooms past the Crossfire at some 100+ mph. It seems that the younger generation believes that a race is won by the last to shut down, not the first to reach the limits of reasonable speed.

Mostly, though, it seems that an NA 6 speed Crossfire can smoke a Celica GT.
