Newbie here and potential crossfire owner.
Hello !
I have always liked the crossfire and now i might be able to get one,,but i have a few questions from you who already own one, maybe this has already been asked before but im too lazy to look through all the threads,,sorry,
So, is there anything in particular to look for in a used crossfire ? is there something that is common to fail on those cars i should look for ?
Any feedback is apreciated !

Well, it has been asked often. You could use the "Search" function, but will give you a few things to look for:
- If you are looking at a non-base model, check the to make sure the heated seats work
- If you are looking at a roadster model, check the rear window to make sure it is solid
I'm sure others will pipe in with other suggestions, but I have been a Crossfire owner for over two years and haven't had any major issues. I, of course, recommend getting red.

I have an 06 base x-fire with a little over thirty thousand miles, I have had no problems whatsoever. I think you will find that they are a lot of car for the money. this site is also very helpful if you should choose to join us as a x-fire owner. but to truely fit in you will need to find a black one
If you're too lazy to go thru the threads, then I'm too lazy to answer. There's a lot of great knowledge shared in these threads, and from reading about the problems/solutions you'll know what to look for.

Anyhow, i have looked at 2 different ones so far, the first one i could tell had been neglected, it had just been driven and not taken care of at all,, sure, the dealer had done its best to make it look nice, but there where still evidence of a neglected car.
The other one i looked at tonite, looked way nicer, from what i could see,, the dealer where closed when i was there so i couldent realy look inside, but it looked like it was better taken care of,, the only thing that i didnt like about that one was the wheels,, why would anyone get other wheels than the stock ones ? the stock wheels looks soo good !
Depending on what region you are getting the car from I would look for rust/corrosion, especially under the doors.
Also when you turn the key if it is at all sticky standby ... the stealership tried to stick me with a $1000 bill until I printed some pages off this forum and showed them how to fix it with a hack saw and a lil common sense, in addition to a written quote from a MB dealer from the same part at a fraction of the cost miraculously Chrysler then decided to provide the part for free and labor at a greatly reduced rate.
Also he alarm can really make your neighbors love you.
Fortunately though using the search function on the forum I have found countless solutions. If you do get one (which I highly recommend) this forum is packed with info to help you though any issue
Also black is by far the best color.

My driver's back seat heats up, but the bottom does not (common problem). Camshaft sensor went bad and I replaced it with a good used one for $15 from a kindly forum member. These cars use 8 quarts of all synthetic oil, so ,unless you do it yourself, expect to pay $100 plus to have any shop do it.
They are a fun cruisers and I ave. 24 mpg with combined city/highway driving. Fun car to drive. I paid $11,995 in fall of 2008 for a 24k miles 2004 LTD coupe.(before taxes, etc.) It is white with two- tone gray leather interior. No regrets so far. Owned it for 16 months.

Just go ahead and save yourself the trouble and buy two, a Coupe for the cold weather, and a Roadster for the good weather. And if you're really into speed, get an SRT.
