Default lifetime warranty

I met a Crossfire owner this Winter in Florida that said he bought a lifetime "bumper to bumper" warranty (not just powertrain) on his 2007 Crossfire. About $2,000.

Anyone know about this?

And.....for the normal lifetime power train warranty at what mileage/time does it have to be taken back to dealer to be checked?

Thanks!

Now that is a point to be made.

Actually I have the same one but am thinking of turning it in so to speak. As these cars get older, no only will the basic warranty items not be available, so will the critical ones. I'd rather not go in and try and get something repaired only to be told we can't get the parts, sorry.

Hey! I got me one of them lifetime warranteeeees. And I plan on stickin' around a long time. Be aware with any extended warranty if the car is worth less than the repair costs, the warranty will be canceled by the issuer and you'll get a check for the prorated balance, probably around $20 bucks is my guess. So you'd better hope the XF makes a resale turnaround like a 65 Mustang.

To maintain the LPW you must take it in for the free inspection within 60 days of the 5th-10th-15th-20th-25th-30th-35th-40th (etc.) aniversary of the purchase.

I purchased the lifetime, bumper-to-bumper warranty on my 2006 Crossfire at 35k miles from Chrysler for $3000 - interest free. They allowed me to pay it out over 3 years. Unlimited miles and years, $100 deductible per incident (not part) and it covers me if I'm more than 100 miles from home with towing, hotel, and food.

I thought it was a pretty good deal. Gives me peace of mind. I found the information on Chrysler's website and called them directly. They're very nice.

I purchased a 40k/4 year warranty when I bought my car almost a month ago. It is zero deductible bumper to bumper. I paid $1900 for it.

PS: My FEDEX tracking update for my spare set of $67 each 225/40/18 Achilles ATRs says Flooding in Tennessee may cause a delay.......Are you OK down there?

After about 700 miles I really love these cheap tires!!!!

I purchased my 2008 Crossfire in Feb 09 with 37 miles. The car currently has 780 miles and is in storage more or less. Never seen snow, rain, salt, etc.....My Crossfire has the lifetime powertrain warranty and the lifetime bumper-to-bumper warranty I purchased with the car for $1200. Fully transferrable. My car is now for sale to a good owner. Best offer buys the car. I can be reached at john.branco@mutualboilerre.com.

Chris the flood was the worst in history but the media does not cover it. Destroyed thousands of acres of crops around here.

Due to inquiries about the car I am listing it for $18,000. This should insure a quick sale. Please e-mail me for arrangements to pick the car up. Teller's or banker's check only. Looking for a good home for my 08 Xfire. Thanks!
