Let's do some math...

$500 per month...
Times 12 months...
Equals $6k a year.

Wow, you're insurance agent LOVES you.

I hate to tell you this, but at 20 years old, I can't really see why you need 3 (or is it 4 from your signature?) vehicles.

I'm also going to guess that your driving record is also less than spectacular.

How in the world can you afford to feed a $6k per year insurance bill?
I certainly couldn't at the same age.

BC.

$500/month for insurance at 20 y.o.? That's crazy!

Why do you have three cars with full coverage anyway? Dump 2 of those cars..even if it includes the Xfire. Sorry, just trying to help out. Don't be insurance poor.

Maybe this will help: If you or your immediate family have been in the military, check out USAA. Their rates are hard to beet.

What the amount of your deductible? Going to $1000 ded will drastically reduce your rates.

It depends on where you live and drive, and how much risk you can handle. If you carry only liability, it cuts out most of the costs. My son's 2007 would cost $2k/year with full coverage, but he doesn't drive it much and I can't afford full, so liability only sets him back $300/year. PS - No tickets, either. Not sure what your XF is worth, but with what you save over two years you can probably buy another one as a spare.

If your car is financed, you can't drop full coverage. That's a reason for repossession for most lenders.

03 MONTE CARLO
100,000 MILES

02 FOCUS
145,000

92 S10
189,000

If you're paying for collision on any of these cars (or any car with over 100k) you're flushing good money down the toilet. One collision free year and you're ahead considering resale values (what the ins. co. will pay).

2004 Crossfire, I pay $265 every 4 months (full coverage in state of NJ). $1,060 a year. I just turned 24 and all 3 of my careless driving tickets I accumulated from the ages of 17-18 have dissolved so my insurance is now 1/3 of what it use to be!!! thank god!!!!
