Default engine cover rubbing hood liner

After seeing the post on the radiator hose, I checked mine and it's fine. However, I noticed the silver engine cover, specifically the front, uppermost spine-like section is rubbing the underside of the hood insulation. It's to the point that it has worn into it - not just leaving a depression. However, I doubt it will go all the way through (hopefully).

Thoughts on why it shoud be so tight. Anyone else have a similar problem?

Default sounds like.......

sounds like the front of your silver engine cover is loose....the entire cover is held down by four or so squeeze clamps...push on the front of the cover to see if it locks itself in firm place.

Thanks for the suggestion. Appears to be locked in place as there is no play or looseness vertically. However, I did notice it flexes under slight pressure both left and right as if there is something right in the center on which it is pivoting on. Closest analogy would be like a see-saw. Need to check if the tech left something under the cover and then closed it.
