It is not a bad deal, but it is also not the best deal. I paid $9750 for mine with 49k miles two months ago. Many people have joined here since then paying less than 10k for theirs too.

What about the carfax?
How many owners and were there any accidents?
hazy headlights?
door dings?

Did not sound too bad till you said "decent condition" - it should be excellent with 34k.

If this is the first one you looked at - I would say look at at least 2 more to get a realistic comparison of condition. IMO

Is this the limited model also? I would say keep your eyes open, and shop around for a month or two unless your in dire need of a car. I found mine for 11,500 and mine had 17k miles, Limited model, automatic, in very very good condition. I recommend setting up an alert system on auto trader that will warn you when a car within 100 miles pops up meeting your standards. That is how i found mine. Good Luck!

For reference purposes only I just paid 15,900 for an 07 with 1509 miles on her including 3 more months of factory 3/36000 coverage. Then I will either opt for 7/70000 max care or lifetime bumper to bumper. It's the wifes call on how long she thinks we'll keep it.

I would try to keep it around $9K. Make them the offer. I'm sure they gave the guy who traded the car in less than $8K.

OK brother you asked so I will share my opinion. Remember it's worth exactly what you paid for it.

I was uncomfortable buying a 6 speed crossfire with anything over a few thousand miles. Why? Well, I am a pessimist, the glass is always half empty with me. I do not know how the clutch was treated by the vehicles previous owner(s) and I am not willing to take that chance. A clutch replacement in these cars cannot be inexpensive.

I searched the country for a low mile XF w/6 speed and found it in Texas. Priced good enough for me and my wife that I was OK with flying to Dallas and driving it home. It is literally brand new.

34,000 miles is well above my limit. I passed on dozens of higher mileage, lower priced vehicles.

I will say this, if the car speaks to you and is what you want, make them an offer. Keep in mind their 1 year powertrain warranty wil not cover the clutch. Yes, I've been burned by the clutch issue before and I learned from it. It was an expensive lesson.

That car is a limited.I'd offer them 10 including the power train warranty. New tires will cost $1000+. If this is the only one you looked at keep looking.

O4's were never called "Limited" because only one model was available.
Actually, they came standard with one desirable feature that no other "Limited" ever offered, the self-dimming rear view mirror.
As for the price, all I can tell you is, some people paid sticker price+ and don't regret it. Other's have got the deal of a life time on brand new (never titled) Crossfires for as little as $17k.
It's summertime and that means peak "Sports Car" price time, especially for dealers. You can spend more time shopping and possibly find a better car, at a better price. Or wait until the snow flies and probably save $1000's.
The answer is simply how much can you afford, and how soon do you want the fun to begin.
I've owned more than a dozen "previously owned" manual transmission cars and I've never had to replace a clutch. If you don't trust your own judgement on any car that you're looking at, it's always a good idea to have it checked out by a mechanic with a good reputation. Good Luck!
By the way, my 04 has 48k miles on it, and I wouldn't take $13000.00 for it.

That price seems like its in the ball park, there are many issues to buying a used car and the price you pay for it. From what you discribe it isn't a steal but you aren't getting robbed either, seems like a fair price for what you have stated.

Remember, this is a 6-year old vehicle now and that is about 1/3 of its original price.
