Default Illuminated door sills question..

In my forum search for help on their istallation, most members say that they come from the factory in the blue color.which is what I want. But the ones I recieved the lettering is white. Do they have blue lighting under the white lettering? Is there a way of testing them before installation?..I found a great tutorial on the search by MMZ_Timelord on how to change the color, but it seems like alot of work and I'm not that good at electrics. Any body's help would be appreciated..Thanks Bob.

I just did this install this past weekend on the roadster in preparation for CAA.
Let me know if you have questions.

Thanks tighed1, I'll be on vacation next week and plan to do the install then. Good to know I'll have help if needed.

It is pretty straight forward. But the harness wiring is tight to work with and be careful on the wire color selection. There are several that are very close in color (like brown/lt blue & brown/gray - they look amost identical)
TEST! before you re-assemble.

Let me know if you have questions.
We are purchasing a used set of sills from a friend who had them in their 2004 coupe. Are the instructions the same for roadsters & coupes? I saw on another post that someone said the instructions were different for the roadster. I downloaded the instructions that say for coupe/convertible. We have a 2006 LTD Roadster. Thanks

The sills are the same fit for coupes & roadsters, all years.

Thanks for the reply. Now I have another question....Since the sills came from a 2004 Coupe there are only TWO (not 3) wires to connect. According to the "Drawing" instructions, it looks like the BR (sill) connects to the BR/YL (car) and the RD (sill) connects to the RD/DG (car). And these wires are located behind the passenger air bag panel (step 4). The instructions seem to be completely different for the 2004 sills. Do you think we'll have any problems installing them on our 2006? BTW...the instructions do show they are for the coupe/convertible dated 07-29-2004. Thanks again!
