Traded the two-seater for an eight-seater...
With three growing kids, a 95 lb Golden Retreiver, limited garage space and a general lack of free driving time...the Crossfire had to go. We sold it and bought a new Suburban. It was my second Crossfire, and although I will miss it I know that it is in a better place (the garage of a 21 year old single guy). I'll be back shopping in about five years once the mortage is paid off and the kids are older.
I just hope Porsche Cayman owners have a comparable forum, as my next German two seater will be a 987!
Enjoy the summer and drive safe!

Re: Traded the two-seater for an eight-seater...
Thirty six years ago I watched my 64' Corvette convert. drive down the street with it's new owner. I had sold it for $1500 so we could get new appliances for our house. Well, at 65 and retired, I bought my Crossfire about a year and a half ago. What goes around, comes around...
Re: Traded the two-seater for an eight-seater...
Had a black Camaro convertible. Had leather with all the upgrades... and absolute beauty. Not a scratch or ding for 82,000 miles. I was in love with the car and we went through hell and back together for years. Drove it accross the country and that car literally watched me transform from a boy to the man I am today. I took such good care of it. Traded it in to the dealer to buy my crossfire. The Camaro ended up sold at auction and 4,000 miles later in an accident. The car has not been seen since and is probably sitting in someones back yard falling apart!
Still have dreams about the car and regret getting rid of it. I should have just kept it. That is why the Crossfire will never be sold. I flat out own it so there is no reason to sell. I will not make the same mistake twice!
