If not a wing, why not? What keeps the butt on that car down? At what speed does it deploy?

yeah, interesting. That tells me their design engineers are REALLY underinspired, or the Cross was such a classic deign you can't hardly improve upon it. Or both I suppose are not mutually exclusive. That's why these cars we cherish are sure to be classics someday.

If you want to get technical...there i a good reason for that. The SLS as it came into production actually started out as the Viper program designing the next gen viper (no it was not going to look like the SLS does now)...then it was something that went with Daimler when the split happened...and they basically had to start from scratch. They aren't postponing the release date (2012, 10 years after the 1st production viper) but let's just hope they don't let any important engineering cues slip and keep the fit and finish to the standard viper has become known for

The Tunnel shot is widely considered to be CGI, though the engineering aspects of it say that it could be possible. The biggest thing would be the downforce created has to be greater than the weight of the car. This is obviously determined by speed.
...also Schumacher did not drive, but rather just sat looking pretty in the car, but I'm guessing you already knew that.

I can see a resemblance to the Viper in this more than the Crossfire. You have to understand, it's a two-seater sports car- something that MB has been doing for some time now. This just reminds me of their original gullwing car. Why has no one else noticed this?

...and in my previous post on her you can see where I mentioned that the SLS program started out originally as the next-gen Viper program at Chrysler.
Man, I hope they go with exposed headers on the next-gen viper like they had on the original 1989 Viper prototype. THAT, would be awesome.
