Trunk would be the obvious choice.

Hmm...

That is a conundrum. How big are the MB spares?

I'm in the market for an MB donut also, but isn't it only 15 inches around? I plan on leaving mine in the trunk. Is this the same donut from the SLK 320?

Yes I'm curious as well. Do you have a part #? I called a dealer looking for a price, and he said he needed a Vin in order for him to do that obviously I couldnt give him one...

It's really just run around. I know what you're talking about though. It makes it easier for them to look up, but if you tell them you don't have a MB and you just need the part for a certain year, make, and model, they can get it for you.

I'm also interested in that spare donut. Can you tell me what year SLK320 I should ask for? or a part#? I've looked on e-bay but need to know what fits my '05 coupe...Thanks

Any donut spare that is for the SLK 320 will fit our wheel. I got mine off e-bay from a salvage shop in Calif. It was off a 2002 SLK320. Was never used came off a total. I put air in, tried it on one front & one rear wheel & was a perfect fit. Measure it's dia. & get yourself a trailer tire cover off e-bay close to the same color of your trunk liner & it sits in their almost unnoticed unless you peer in thru the back window to check.

I was looking to keep one in my garage for a local event, but this is more than I expected to pay.

It will remain unnoticed until you have a bad wreck, then it becomes a very painful hockey puck bouncing around your head. Don't forget your color coded hair bonnet off of the tire. Remember, there is a reason that they don't put loose heavy objects in the cabin with the occupants. Here in town we just had a guy bounce a large stereo speaker off of his head when he hit a tree, he wasn't impressed with the results when he finally woke up. A word of caution!
