I'm a new owner of the xfire.. 05 coupe with an auto trans.. been searching all over the forums and I've been finding great information so i thought I would join.. keep up the great work everyone!

Glad you found us. Since you have already searched you must be aware that the black ones are fastest. Good choice.

 

Ah, but it must be that some of the black ones are faster than others, which is where the white came from when the black paint was whisked away by air friction. Either that, or they were all white at one time, but because the black ones were the more "stationary" cars, they accumulated assorted soots and debris, eventually fusing that to the pristine white surface making them appear black. that explains of course the white, then turning to gray, then to black. which also explains why there are no white SRT's. The black ones needed a boost to keep up with the already fast white ones. See. problem solved.

ANY BLUE is much better....and faster!(see sig)

 

Currently back and forth from Ohio and Fort Drum, NY... lol.. I dunno if black is faster but it sure is hard to keep clean!

Welcome man, as a noob myself all I can say is this forum is awesome man. I went on my first GTG the other day man and everyone was so cool and down to earth...they all have lead feet too! Welcome...the black is the fastest!

Oh, and best way to keep your black crossfire clean, like me, dont drive it much! No rain, snow or even dew will ever touch my car. Even in the garage, it is covered. Have owned it for one year, and put 3,000 sunshine filled miles on it,

 

I deploy next years so she'll have plenty of time in the garage under a blanket other then my dad taking it out and stretcher her legs every once and a while.

 

Ya ya, the black are fastest, but it takes an SSB one to let them know how fast they are going when we pass them.
