saw 3 crossfire convertibles today...Holland, MI
beautiful, hot sunny day driving around Holland, Mi in my graphite coupe today and spotted three!! crossfire convertibles.....all with their tops down, of course. First one yellow, second one red, third one darker red...all within a two hour period of time. Anyone from this forum?
I used to drive my SSB coupe every day in Holland. But I'm retired now, so I don't get there that often. Nice to see some on the road, though.
It is that time of the year for roadsters. Top down weather brings out the best of the Xfires. My coupe is wondering when it is her turn for a spin. Even my wife who has not driven a stick in over 40 years asked me to give her a refresher course so she could drive it while I take a national parks vacation.

When I had both of mine when they first came out I a saw a lot more xfires in the Tri County area, than I do now. I lived in Troy MI for a while and for the last year in Saint Clair Shores, when I lived in Troy there were a lot more, and now being in the Shores I hardly ever see one, it seems they are getting harder to find, but still see them I've seen four xfires between Troy and the Shores over the last two months. I also live fairly to close to Rob @ Needswings and dont even see him driving around in his SRT6.

You'll often see my roadster or SRT6 around Holland in the summer, but I was in NY this week. There's also an oyster gold roadster next door and another graphite gray SRT6 in the next development. So there are five just a little north of Lake Mac. Are there enough to have a breakfast GTG? I've been trying on and off this summer and have only been able to meet up with Al and Jill once.
PS-Al, I was surprised last week to discover I play hockey with your son!! We had a couple beers and a nice chat after the discovery.

I understand that xfires in Southern Michigan are not an exception at any level. A friend who is a Chrysler engineer even got a new one for his kid a couple of years back because the deal could not be beat. As he explained it, Chrysler offered employees (maybe only execs) a two year lease w/15 k a year at under $200 per month just to get the cars out of inventory and on the road. Don't have true particulars, but I do know he was paying less than the cost of a lease on a Calibur. Chrysler employees live in Michigan, not Nevada, Charleston, or Miami. Thus, Michigan=Crossfire country.
