Totalled...the end of an era.
As other members have stated the most important thing is that you are safe and OK. Sorry to see another Crossfire taken off the road due to an a$$h@le.
Like you said... take this as a sign to go get a Prowler. If I ever totaled my car (which I hope I never do).... I already have my next car picked out!
Glad you are ok!
Glad you are ok!
Financially, I can handle a Prowler. BUT, the idea of
1. Turning my back on the XF
2. Knowing that NO other car has a forum as great as this one
keeps bringing me back to an XF. Everyone, keep your eyes open for a fairly local (my zip is 21401) Alabaster or SSB (!) XF, the newer the better. Still looking into Prowlers but....

I am not trying to steal S40s thread, and when everything is sorted out and I have a new XF, I will tell the story and post some pictures.
S40, glad you are thinking of getting another one, the people here are amazing

Hate to hear of the loss of your beautiful crossfires. Best of luck to both of you in the search for new ones. The adventure and era begins anew.

well, glad you are both walking and talking...cars can always be replaced...and usually, the next one is always better....when Johnny is ready, you will hear his story...but don't get too excited, there isn't much of a story there...just glad he got out OK, cause it could have been a bad ending....but, I have yet to hear anyone getting seriously hurt in one of these little tanks, so that says a lot about the engineering of this car...if I have to take a hit, I hope I'm in my little cross....
OUCH! Glad you both are OK. Like others have said THAT is the most important thing. We get so attached to these little babies it really does hurt when something like this happens.
There are more available out there, hope you find what you looking for.

There's a guy in my neighborhood selling an alabaster '05 with lo mileage for about 15,000. He doesn't REALLY want to sell it, but wife has new Lexus that "replaced" it.

OUCH. I live in Maryland and work in NW Washington DC --- when I first saw this I thought someone had solen my Xfire and taken it for an unfortunate ride (I have a SSB as well).
Sorry to hear about this. Glad you are OK and happy the car held up and did it's job protecting you.
There's an 04 Alabaster in Mechanicsburg PA with low mileage and clean car fax (11K miles). Here's the link. Price is pretty high -- but I'm thinking they would come down quite a bit. However, I've seen a rise in prices over the last couple months since I bought mine. Seems to be a rebound on vehicle pricing of late.
Good luck with everything.

The Prowler sure looks cool but weren't they also knocked for not enough power and just a V6? I read somewhere the purpose of the Crossfire was to replace the Prowler. I wonder if a V8 could be put in one? Hemi Prowler would embarrass a lot of other late model Hemi's.

A good friend of mine worked on "Team Prowler", and during its development, I begged him to push for a V8. He said it wouldn't fit. I told him in a few weeks after it's released, somebody will have a V8 in it. He agreed, but said upper management wouldn't hear of it. I guess the rest is history.
As for performance, the 2nd. generation Prowler V6 did make em run pretty good.
But I was still able to embarrass one in 1st. gear when he tried to pull a hole shot on me on Woodward Ave.
