I'm looking for the front portion of this airbox. Its the part with the Mercedes star on it. I've got the Renntech airbox and need the front portion of the V6 or V8 stock airbox to complete it. Does anybody have a part number? FP? Anyone?

Currently there are two for the V8 on eBay. There is one on eBay for the V6 for $40 but it is has a small crack on it. Be patient, they show up all the time.

You already have the "airbox", the front section is called the engine cover.

I might pass on this particular V6 cover, but if are up to a repair, the price is right:

Here is engine cover for the V8. I read that it fits the Crossfire, but not sure how good it would look.

That is for the supercharged motors and will not work for his airbox. The renntech airbox looks like this.

 

Does ant one know how to remove the stupid tiny air intake plastic assemblies near the grill? I tried for an hour but couldn't get them out. They are super restrictive.

 

After you get the clips removed, it is just a matter of spinning it the right way as it comes out. Both will come out with patients.

That looks extremely sexy, too bad it costs 50% more (and that's used) than a dual Needswings.

 

LOL what clips? I see a couple of what looks like bolt heads but can't figure out how to get them out. Is there a how too?
