Blackcrossfire07 has just declared another person who disagrees with his methods and opinions a Liberal.

Never said he was a liberal. Just said he sounds like one. And he does.....

 

This whole situation just strikes me as odd and is a bit shocking. Isn't this the company that Don hooked up with to get the grille created? I have one of these grilles on my car, and though I love how it looks, I'm a bit embarassed now that this has come up.

I try to stay away from political discussion on internet forums, but in general I'm an Objectivist and tend to side with a business owner's right to run their business as they see fit, but being intentionally rude and using foul language in an official business communication just seems a bit immature and ridiculous to me.

Maybe there is more of a backstory behind this issue than we're aware of, but even still it would be hard to justify the tone and content of the message that was sent.

 

Ok. That's nice. I'm sorry that some of us are irritated by others' obvious ignorance to the fact that we just asked them civilly and politely to keep this thread on topic and away from politics. Don't believe me? Go back through the thread and find the first time I posted something about people starting a political flame war. Was my last post profane and rude? Yes. I feel it was needed to emphasize my feelings towards a particular post that should have stopped before it even started. If you're offended and don't come on the message board "because of people like" me, so be it. Sometimes you need to offend one person to prevent a thread from going off on a tangent and angering many people.

In all reality, you stepped out of line way earlier than I did. Starting a political flame war with another member in a thread and section that has nothing to do with politics is by far more rude than anything I said. You obviously didn't read the first post I placed here about this, and maybe you should go back in read it. You being ignorant of the fact that you're offending people does not excuse you to do whatever the hell you want.

And what if I am a "liberal"? So what? Is this the politics section? Are we discussing anything about politics or are you just using "liberal" as a derogatory term to criticize and belittle people? You can feel however you want about me and you can be all "butthurt" that I called you out on your little mud-slinging fiasco, but you can't change the fact that you began this. Be an adult and deal with it then. Apparently my first post wasn't offensive enough to you for you to pay attention, so my second had to be. Go ahead and be "hurt" by it. Think of me as a lesser person. I really don't care at all. I care way more about keeping offensive and divisive politics in its place for the sake of the community than how you feel. Write that down in your "book".

Is this "spaceport 4.0" a Crossfire forum? If not, than no. I'm on here for a reason, to discuss the Crossfire and Crossfire-related subjects, not to argue about politics. This is why I stay out of the politics section; I prefer not to get in an internet fist fight with someone who I know is going to be just as stubborn as anyone else on this planet when it comes to poltical/social views. This is why politics needs to stay in the politics section.

I also enjoy the loose moderation on this forum, but some boundaries should not be crossed, ESPECIALLY when another forum member (one that is not included in the "conversation" in question) asks you politely to keep a certain divisive and easily offensive topic out of the discussion.

And no, that's not how liberal was being used here. You can refer to my comment in response to blackcrossfire07 above. Is it my place to speak for anyone besides myself? No. Was I speaking for anyone besides myself? No. Don't belittle me. I'm as much a member of this community than anyone else, including you. You're not a moderator here either, but I would not bring that fact up if you had a problem with what another member was saying. It is your right to confront them. If you want to talk about freedom, there is it.

Why don't the 2 of you start PM'ing each other instead of carring your feud into so many threads. Enough is enough.

 

What threads? I believe this is one thread and this is the first time I've ever had a bone to pick with blackcrossfire07.

Either way, I was actually thinking about that, but the fact that there was multiple people I needed to address according to their individual messages, I decided one post would be fine.

I would love to end it and will be more than willing to do so. Isn't that what I was trying to get people to do in the first place? Really read into that before you make a conclusion.

Actually, I do get confused as there are so many threads that get hijacked by BlackCrossfire07, I can't keep up with who he is pissing off. Sorry Shapeshifter. LOL

I'm really not going to hold it against him, although I have seen a couple instances what you two speak of. I think the last feud was with onehundred80 because blackcrossfire07 was on his block list and didn't know why.

I was never trying to win any argument. I was trying to get you to cease your flame war with Vegaslegal. He stopped, you didn't. You continued to use "liberal" to insult people. If I'm "wacked" because you pissed me off by acting like a child, so be it. I rather be "wacked" than ignorant.

And by saying I have "mental problems", you're attempting to belittle me again. It doesn't get you anywhere, doesn't settle this, doesn't advance the discussion of the real topic, and doesn't make this move on any quicker.

I don't plan on apologizing to you or anyone else for the flame war you started here. I will apologize to the community for wasting precious space and their time they took to read this, since no one else seemingly wants to talk about politics or this feud you seemingly want to continue. It would probably be best for everyone if you just dropped to subject. I don't want an apology. I don't want to have any further contact with you when you act like this. Like I said, we have communicated on threads before and never a problem. But you step in for someone else to attack me. You go on a rampage and make me look like the bad guy. You say you are not mental but your rampage tells this forum otherwise.

I was obviously irritated at everyone that kept bringing politics up, 2. I stated that I wouldn't be holding it against you for doing it in the first place, I just wanted you to act like an adult and quit the name-calling. Regardless of how you feel about political matters, it doesn't belong here, just as much as discussing religious views doesn't belong here. I could have the view that all Muslims are terrorists and that if you sympathize with any of their views or people then you're a "Muslim" (terrorist) too, and I could start calling people that in this thread as well. Does any of that belong in a thread about a grille vendor who was offensive and impolite to a potential customer? If you say yes, then maybe you need to evaluate your own mental state, oh Professor of Psychology.
