Default A car is just a car

DFWSBR posted a woe story which made him realize that a car is just a car. I try and do that, but being a "Mom" personality, my car becomes my baby. I even name my cars. I know of a few other people that do this as well but most think I'm crazy. (I know I'm just nuts.) It does make it hard to give a car up when it's time to go. I gave my last car to my then future-sister-in-law after getting my present one. When she drove off in "Goddess" I started to cry. Egads.

My present car's name is Willow. In 13 days I'll be giving her up for my Xfire. Which I will have to name. I feel like a traitor belonging to this forum when Willow is still here.

Yeah....I know.....nuts. Do other people name their cars?

Never named any of my cars. I even sold my 96 CBR 600 (sport bike) today! Picking up a new toy tomorrow. Yamaha R1 (even faster sport bike) Can't wait!

Cars are like women. Only good for the first few hundred miles, then you want to trade em in for something new. ops:  j/k (not really, but kinda)

yamaha r-1: 180 horsepower @370 pounds. wow! my warrior is pretty strong but your power-to-weight is off the chart.

rear tires go for about $225

for perspective, we're running 40 more horses to push well over a ton more weight!!

dan....have fun.

$225 isn't so bad. I pick up my tires from www.discountmotorcycletire.com and typically go with the Mezeler M1's, They are only good for 3500 miles, but very sticky for a street tire.

And to think people in there crossfires thought the rear tires were expensive If we had to replace CF tires every 3k miles, we would never hear the end of it!
